Just shows how differently people see the game, I think those of us who hunger for a strong structure and hate seeing the enemy taking intercept marks in front of our goals loved his effect on the game whereas those that expect Ben to win the game off his boot thought that he was poor.!!!!

Melbourne are now very comfortable playing on the Big Stage under lights even when playing away in front of a hostile football illiterate crowd. We ignored the fact that Port were getting away with throwing the ball in the air when tackled and continually ran them to ground and soaked up their surge. What a really great team effort, agree Petty had a very impressive break out game, you can now see that May, Lever & Co trust him to do his role. Tracc , Oliver, Gawn, Kozzie, Salem and TMack back to their very best, everyone played their role and BBB straightened us up and did what a good big intelligent forward does. I was very content with this win and never really felt stressed as we were on from the first bounce, you would have to love our toughness, effort and team first effort. Great Win DEES.!!!!

I really dislike the way Brayshaw continually barracks for our opposition.

Agree strongly on all points deever, umps tried to influence but we were having non of it.

I think that Little Goffy mentioned this on page 1 in a militaristic scenario by having a couple of forwards stay back in the forward line it puts pressure on opposing defenders to try and protect space in the event of a rapid counter attack from our defenders and mid fielders and I agree you need to utilise every strategy in the arsenal, sow doubt and uncertainty in the oppositions mindset.

Do you all remember that game in Perth when we were pretty poor we had 1 free kick at half time to their 20. The Magoos refused to pay us a free and were completely swept away by the crowd adulation. I started to get some really dark thoughts about their unashamed cheating.!!!!

In a tight hard fought pressure game I am predicting Dees by 17 points, 2.5 to be precise all of which were get able but need to start in the first Qtr. Come on Dees find your mojo.

It was really great to get back to a live game at the Gee but we started so poorly it gave GWS a lot of early confidence and they kicked a couple of easy goals and we’re able to repel our forward entries in a similar manner to what we we are used to doing to the opposition. We were sitting on the dead wing opposite the MCC and didn’t see much action as the game seemed to be played on that side off the ground. Even when we had Langdon and several other players free the team ignored them and continued to play down the opposite wing. Where was our aggression and hard working DNA team first selfless winning ways. When we finally came out of the slumber we sprayed the ball around which further lowered the morale of the team. It was really, really cold and hard to stay focussed and doubly disappointing when we failed to take advantage of nearly all our opportunities. Thanks Fritsch’y st least you kicked straight and I really hate the Giants song and had it ringing in my ears all the way out of the stadium surrounded by a lot of sad looking fellow supporters. I really felt gutted and sad for another lost opportunity that would help us achieve something special in the footy world. Come on you Dee players get your act together you have to kick the easy ones that is your job. Please do not serve up that rubbish again in 2021.

Agree wholeheartedly SPC we went small again and got smashed again what are the coaches looking at, it is Time Dees, pull the trigger if it’s not Sam or Ben it has to be Mitch, just make the call before we get smashed Again.!!!!!

6 - Salem 5 - May 4 - Max 3 - Fritta 2 - TMac 1 - Tracc What the Hell is going on with our Mid Field we were killed in the Clearance stakes. Won nearly every other Stat.

Well great to get back to the Gee, but that was it we were never really in it. They outplayed us most of the game particularly in centre clearances. Our lack of a tall marking option killed us in the end and forced players to try and do to much which resulted in heart breaking turn overs. Boy was it cold as well, our midfield had its worse game ever …!!!!

Agree with most on this site but the thing that I am noticing more each week is that we are now being referenced in a positive manner when teams are being analysed they show how we are doing it better. I don’t want every one following the way we do it, our scoring has dropped off, we seem to be doing what we need to do but playing within ourselves if that makes sense. Like many others I really want to see Ben Brown in the side this week and for an extended period barring injury or total crap form. They showed On The Couch how many markable entries came into our forward 50 that were marked by the Bummers we can’t squander all that hard work. if we get the forward set up right we are really in with a show, but happy to continue flying under the radar. (Are we loading with an eye on the finals?)

Thanks KC, Binman and all other posters really appreciate the player stats and special comments. I guess that we all beg to differ on different players but the stats are pointing to Weid as CHF And BBB our future FF. Problem for the Weid is that TMac has dominated that role in the first 14 games. Hopefully BBB showed enough to get back into the Team and Weid keeps on improving until he gets another shot at it. We need a big key forward so Frittata can get back off the leash where he does his best work and we don’t waste so many precious inside 50’s.

Tough game to watch our kicking was atrocious But we still led for most of the night and we are now 1 down and 5 to go. I just love this winning feeling and I don’t care how Ugly the wins are. We sit on top of the Ladder and you have to love that. Keep it coming Dees.!!!!

I have been a bit of a rabble all week but woke up feeling strangely confident and after listening to Dogga after breakfast I am feeling really up and about. I am thinking 29 point win with a strong last quarter where we hold the ball in our half and show them why we are the best. Go Dees.......!!!!
