That how May got concussed as well competing with Lever and Petty for the same ball doesn’t look good when your three tall defenders all go for the same mark and one gets knocked out by his teammate.😢😪

We need Langdon back to his best so it may take a couple of weeks to get him right. I would rather bring Baker in for Melksham as he has a bit of pace and unfortunately Jake is to slow for a winger and we need Spargs in the pressure forward role with Kozzie and ANB. Also Alex take your shots we need our forwards kicking goals not wasting opportunities. You are good enough just do it.!!!!

On a different slant my concern is that we are scratching to fill the holes. Thommo played a great game today so he is an in but who could come in for a JJ or Sparrow or Spargs. Freo have a lot of height in their team that can kick and mark very well let’s hope that Rosman and Turner can step up in 2023. There are a number of sides building height into their teams and that is the area that we need to focus on going forward.!!!!!!

If fit TMac, Langdon and Tomlinson in Out - leave that to the coaches. It was a shame that Majak and van Rooyen were ill today and non of the youngsters really stood up.

I guess those stats reinforce our own opinions that we were poor, a whacking -17.5% below our 2021 average.!! I have to ask the question have our training loads been increased?

In the past 18 months each time we only kick accurately 33% of the time we lose, Dogs, GWS and now Freo. We missed goals that we should have kicked, would normally kick. Freo grew in confidence every time we missed and I thought that their team work got better as did their marking and goal kicking. Time to reset and make a few changes to the team and get our best back on the park.

The last two games the opposition have thrown everything that they could muster at us, we kept resetting slowly grinding them down and then kicking away to win comfortably. Very difficult to take advantage of forward 50 entries when they have the bulk of their team in our forward line. Not to mention the questionable tactics like blocking, holding and punching arms that they got away with on most occasions where we had to resort to team brilliance and silky skills to penetrate the mall. At least when you play good teams you have the opportunity to display your skills and team work to full advantage. The good thing is that we have shown that we have the toughness and grit to tough it out until the worm turns our way. Go Dees.!!!!!!

You are so right Dundee my wife and I booked for the Alice game and had to keep Friday Saturday and Sunday clear because we didn’t know when the game was being played. Finally we know it is Sunday and we are flying back on Monday. Grrrrrrr.!!!

Realistically I am interested in the picks 20 - 50 as I can’t see us featuring in round 1 or early round 2 unless we start trading players out and I just can’t see that happening with this team.??

I expected the change to be Dunstan for Harmes and Bedford for Chandler but I am not conflicted about Melksham coming in. I am a great believer in rewarding player loyalty and 200 games is such a big deal for AFL players and we are playing the bottom team, so little risk to the final result.!!

The coach indicated in his press conference today that Gus would be staying down back and Salo may need to be eased back into the team after missing 10 games. Jeeezzzzzz I’m glad that I am not on the selection panel Salo, Gus, Hunt, Bowey and Riv can’t fit into our backline.!!!

A bit harsh Deedubs, however I cannot quite remember Tommy kicking 6 in the Magoos as an 18/19 yo. We have to judge and enjoy them on their merits.!!
