  1. its how you answer them though cheese.. and we have a habit of bull****ting. just be honest. 'yeah, we kinda sucked last year.. hope we are better this year, but probably won't be..'. THAT i could get around!

  3. for anyone that actually thinks we won't have a round one pick next year... i don't know what to tell ya, but i am pretty sure we will have AT LEAST one.. once we get rid of t-mac, potentially brayshaw and a few others, we will be right to go again with youngsters/a rd 1 pick for trade.
  4. could be the shiraz/beer friday eve combo talking but sounds like a SMASHING idea!!!
  5. iโ€™d happily rather a good bloke like treloar with speed and skill thatโ€™s perhaps 5% less a player (delivery-wise) than merrett..talk about a punchable head! i am actually not sure thereโ€™s too much different between the two - one has blonde hair and one brown
  6. sooo, is yze the assistant? all all line coaches are assistants? still a bit concerned over a lack of support for goodwin. would've been nice to have got an actual ex forward to train the forwards?..
  7. as someone that had brayshaw as his fave player, i would be open to moving on angus for treloar, should angus be open to it. players like angus are a dime a dozen. treloar has speed and kicks goals. they've appeared rare the past few years..
  8. and he was a mad tigers fan growing up, so if anyone, he'd be tempted by them..
  9. thats awesome! cheers for the heads up mate
  10. just moved to a new place near preston oval.. looking forward to getting along to some games next year!
  11. that would explain his apparent lack of visibility on the day.. no possessions and no tackles. poor effort even if he was in the stands on crutches.
  12. meh. bit soft isn't he? don't recall him really standing up in the crows GF (but no one really did).. long way down our list of priorities i would have thought.. 2013 dees would be all over him but. and pay through the tooth for him!
  13. treloar seems like a really nice dude.. i haven't really seen any of the reports on his possible mental health issues, but why this has been made public is real yuck (unless its him disclosing it). wish him all the best. be happy to have him at the dees if the price was right. otherwise, maybe the kangas could finally get a decent signing?!
  14. absolutely, i would maybe compare him to jordan lewis or someone like that? game sense.. someone you hate on other teams but are glad that you have on your side. what an ending! the storm definitely deserved it defending minus those two players.. they did look like they were falling apart though hey? it will be interesting to see how they go should smith retire.. not sure that i rate munster as a leader. i'm a raiders fan btw, so like to think that next year it might be a raiders v panthers gf.. 30 years after their '91 gf match.
  15. no idea.. not much. brown? maaaaaybe? be nice to sign higgins. hopefully jacko and kossie click and kick some bags. fingers x no injuries. love to see may and trac kill it again. also be great to see the bombers get the wooden spoon and be a mess.
  16. i wish we'd just get rucks from other clubs/vfl/wafl.. it seems as though the club are against this? it seems more likely than a cat b rookie. surely we can find some flashy winger/FF with no tank whatsoever to fill that spot next time?
  17. ahh, i never saw anything come out from him.. i live in melbourne btw, but have a solid grounding in league. the culture is very different to afl. and i work in disability support, so it really bothered me, apart from just being a really ****ty thing for him to have done at the time. but look, like i said, we all make mistakes and this was just really public. i just don't like the way he niggles and wastes time and 'manages the game' with the ref, etc.. but he is smart. definitely has a football brain. i wouldn't argue against that. geez, the panthers nearly had them at the end.. i have never in my life seen a side turn down a goal attempt either.. such a strange game?!
  18. yes i was aware of that jack. funny though, I very nearly wrote nathan broad type, as i was impressed with his toughness and desperation during the GF.. amazed to see he's available atm too? be awesome to get either of them. def upgrade for us. killer instinct x 2.
  19. i am pretty sure they didn't.. of course it wasn't his fault (the incident) but he should have come out and apologised/addressed it. maybe it was because he was a lot younger and bit more stubborn, but he's certainly not perfect and certainly not 'the greatest ever'. but aside from that, he did speak really well after the game last night. not perfect, but who is?
  20. higgins has been one of my faves since he came on to the scene.. happy go lucky, gives his all. SIGN HIM UP. i'll be [censored] if he ends up anywhere else. happy to lose hunt, macs, hannan, preuss, etc and only get brown, smith and higgins.
  21. as a nswelshman, everyone respects the storm organisation. so this whole 'everyone is against us, no one thought we could do it' rubbish is, well, rubbish. very essendon/pies. the reason everyone has hated the storm was all the maroons in their team. now its full of kiwis and other pacific islanders..and blues, the hatred is less. cameron smith is a dirty, time-wasting, no-good hack. he has skills, but is very over-rated. see how he dealt with the incident where alex mckinnon lost the use of his legs during a game. not an apology. I realise that as most of the dees on here will support the storm (if they care at all about 'the rugby') i will get feedback on this, but it is true.
  22. far out i hope we can pick up a hard-at-it small/mid.. someone like jack higgins with tidy skills, goal sense and pressure. not too hard surely?!
  23. completely agree.. as others have said, high ball drop and a bit dumpy, but it comes with where he gets the ball.. if he could take a few steps and also work on his technique, thatโ€™d be ace
