  1. brayshaw might go close too if he keeps killing it with maxy..even after missing those early season games
  2. cats, swans and crows are potentials i reckon.. maybe even gws at the G, but prob pretty unlikely.
  3. he ain't going no where..he's a dee. i'm sure the club has him as taking over jonesy's role (in potentially a variety of ways) heading into the future.
  4. brayshaw aint goin nowhere
  5. yeah, i know who he is. right.. he'd cost a mint though and i think we're still needing 2-3 mids. ah whatever, see how it plays.
  6. did someone say on another thread (gaff maybe?) that we would be keen on mcgovern. two questions. which mcgovern? and, was it that he is available and we SHOULD be interested or that we ARE interested? i can't see where either would fit into our team as is..
  7. i wonder in what ways bayley can imrprove in the next few years? will he always be that body type, or will he fill out/put on some bulk? i guess that would affect his current game style.. love him. and i thought he'd just be one of those guys that takes speccies every game. much, much more than that!
  8. i wonder what gaff would be thinking now the way we are starting to look.. pretty attractive option i would think ?
  9. who would you rather have on the list la dee? darcy moore or jkh? or, let's just say, a mature-aged recruit from brissie or something? surely, if moore only cost a late rounder or something, we'd bite.
  10. i wouldn't laugh dan, but he seems surplus to our requirements.. i reckon we have other priorities anyway. but if he's going cheap, why not?
  11. nahhh.. too much of a front-runner for me ?
  12. purely hypothetically.. if trading weideman meant we could get gaff, would you do it? with gaff i reckon we'd be top four and really pushing for a flag. i think weideman is too important personally. he'll come good. could be on the cards though if the club gets aggressive and looks for a flag ASAP instead of in 3-4 years time..
  13. i agree, but as everyone on this sites whines about how its fine we are on masterchef, surely we can sign our current crop as well as look at outside players (literally) to join the club? i'm sure the club is more than capable these days to juggle some balls..
  14. you wouldn't be the CEO of a major company/a Liberal party member would you by chance?..
  15. nah, i think my kind are often referred to as 'SJW's". good joke but.
  16. let's just agree to disagree.. at the end of the day, it doesn't really offend me that they were on this shitty show, i just don't see it as a positive. as someone from northern nsw, if you think that people from the northern states will tune in to watch the dees v blues game as a result of the show, or even think of the dees again in their lives, you are delusional. but that's ok, it's a forum and can all have our own opinions ?
  17. the connection is, you don't deserve attention until you've earned it. we haven't. and the club seems to intent on pushing the 'image' before we've even got a clear idea of what we are on the field.
  18. this is the kinda [censored] that makes the general public ask if we are getting ahead of ourselves.. who cares about exposure?! get exposure by playing a tough, exciting brand of football!!! jayzus!
  19. i acknowledge that he's been a lot more reliable of late and his extra bulk means that he is no longer a pushover against most forwards.. HOWEVER, he is still super slow in his decision-making and is rubbish below his waist. as soon as the ball goes to ground he's done. he gets into weird positions during congestion in the back half too. so he's definitely not out of the woods yet, but yes, much much better these days and lots to work with!
  20. after listening to the mfc podcast, peter jackson seems to think that we could accomodate a 'big fish' if they chose to come along to us at the end of the year.. exciting prospect.
  21. mate. i was referring to picking wines up in the future. not in a previous draft. he can join our current boys.
  22. just imagine viney and wines pushing each other in the midfield..then add oliver and petracca. i think the dees should move heaven and highwater to get ollie.
  23. salem ant expected to be a first 22 player?... really? he was a top ten draft choice and clearly had skill from the outset? bizarre..
