  1. As long as Robert walls tips us for the spoon, everything will be fine !!!
  2. I love the smell of microwaved Richmond memberships in the morning , smells like victory
  3. I miss the days when we could just laugh at Richmond
  4. True... interesting to see how GWS back up after a gruelling slog in the wet last week . Whitfield and Greene are handy inclusions though. I also think the Tiges too had to dig deep after staring down the barrel at HT last week , they were pretty average in the 1st half.
  5. They’ve won 6 flags I think since 1965 , now going for a 7th . 7 flags since they interloped into the MCG
  6. If Melbourne can’t win the premiership this year , then frankly I prefer if no one wins it. Therefore GWS winning would be the closest thing to no one winning it IMO. in all honesty though I think the giants are a sneaky chance this week, they are playing with momentum and have gone through playing on the road and missing key players tigers played their grand final last week will be very interesting
  7. I wonder if Gus has an invite this year ?
  8. I’d love to see this sort of thread on a Collingwood fan forum For me , ”brand” and “craft” are seriously cringeworthy. These are empty buzzwords when there is no actual substance to a point someone is making. Our former coach uses these regularly.
  9. Colliwobbles out ... my Saturday night just got a whole lot better!
  10. Graded as intentional, high contact with a low impact
  11. Given the highs of those two Friday nights last September, it’s very sobering not to be there again. I honestly expected it this year. Will watch with interest given the quality of the footy on display , whilst also keen to hopefully see the bombers , meth coke , filth and Geelong all bow out in dramatic style. whilst I wouldn’t mind the lions winning I wouldn’t look at them as a fairytale story , fagan has done great work up there to turn them around so quickly and love the way they play , but let’s not forget that 15 years ago they were playing off for 4 in a row. I think whoever wins this time I’ll still feel jealous and shortchanged that as a supporter base we are still waiting, after so many years, and to again watch other teams keep passing us in the queue to September glory is just unfair. But that’s life and to be expected following the mighty demons!
  12. I remember watching a replay from the 98 season (danihers first as MFC coach) and seeing a recently retired Alastair Clarkson as our runner.... alas what might have been
  13. Tmac’s Last second poster to beat the all conquering beach boys up on the Gold Coast , what memorable last 45 seconds that was ? Sam frosts second effort and well disguised throw to spoil Wingard in the dying seconds against the dorks
  14. Max named on the interchange bench , we’ll done Max !
  15. Let’s hope so , we could also use him for kicking drills at training
  16. Last great memory of his career was when he basically carried us over the line in the last quarter against the lions up at the Gabba when they had gone on a 6-7 goal run against us , some classy snaps to steady the ship . At the end of the day it all counted to us making finals that year . I also remember Dland melting down in the post match thread that game even though we’d won
  17. Sounds about right for the afl , they probably encouraged them to ask for it
  18. How can it be announced officially tomorrow if Gold Coast are only meeting the commission tomorrow to ask for it , and any decision won’t be ratified until after the grand final from what I read in another article
  19. I think we can now explain Wiseblood’s recent unusual absence from Demonland and his newfound optimism that we are dead set making the 8 next year .... stick with me folks .... during the bye , off the back of some uncomfortable negative thoughts around Goody’s gameplan and forward structures exposed so openly by the filth on Queens Birthday , Wiseblood decided to go for a long walk to gather his thoughts and reset back to a more positive growth mindset , along the way he took a wrong turn , and stumbled across a silly old coot wearing a Melbourne scarf sitting on the bonnet of what looked like an early 80s model delorean with MFC number plates. The old coot handed Wise the keys and told him to take his car for a spin and “ram it up to 88”. Wise was confused however he happily obliged as it was a welcome escape from trying to positively spin a 4-7 win loss record. What he found on that drive was simply amazing, he has travelled into the future and seen the Norm Smith curse end and Max Gawn holding up the premiership cup, and now has returned back and is only letting out little snippets of the future to keep us all going during the off season . Importantly when returning back to 2019 he instead set the time to return for the end of the season ( as seriously who would want to live through the last 11 rounds of footy). Thanks Wise keep up the good work ! P.s can you please tell us if the bummers and filth will get smashed in the finals this year though? After this no more questions about the future I promise
  20. Perhaps if the club apply a bit of George Constanza logic and do the absolute opposite of everything they did in 2019 , every instinct that comes to mind , then do the opposite ... for example , when they get the urge in November to use pick 3 to draft a promising inside mid .... then don’t just draft some outside mid with speed , Another example , when Goody thinks it’s a good idea to continue with the current leadership group and keep plugging away at getting better with that connection thingy to make ourselves more accountable .... no , no , back up.... let’s change things up a little , let’s make Gawn sole captain and spend most of the summer doing kicking drills , and let’s see how that turns out So if we do the opposite, we make finals, and I suppose it’s an even year too , which helps ! Simples !
