Couldnāt care less who he supported growing up. Heās a passenger & we need to move him on.

Trade Rumours 2023
Iād say itās a hard no on Dylan Stephens. Shades of Toumpas. Good luck to him. From inside the roos Iām told he is very weird unit & they donāt think heās anywhere near worth what itād cost for him to return 1st round compensation. Surely Brad Scott would be aware of this too from his time there.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Love the look of OāSullivan at a time when we really need to be mindful of succession-planning for May. I imagine itāll involve Petty returning to the backline with Lever to guide a young tall. COS fits the bill for my liking.

Are West Coast tanking?
Surely theyāre both. Abysmal overall, but managing the result when needed, so as to not let themselves be āpunishedā by the rare inept performance of an opponent who has mentally prepared for a bye week.

Training Ground?
That doesnāt sound like something Pert would do... However Iāll absolve him of all past sins once it lands.

Are West Coast tanking?
Of course thereās some tanking involved here. Imagine being this putrid, but then also letting Essendonās ineptitude rob you of pick 1? Thereās no other way to describe Simpsonās aggressive instructions to not have additional defenders to maintain their slim advantage with seconds left.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Never seen him play live, only watched some short compilations, but just havenāt seen him do a lot overhead. Doesnāt mean heās not good. Buddy was the tallest flanker ever.

Are West Coast tanking?
Not mutually exclusive though.

Are West Coast tanking?
Buckley went down the same path when WC lost to Essendon by a point, questioning why Adam Simpson was dictating that they specifically did not put a spare man in the backline to hold a late lead. I did wonder if Bucks holds some resentment towards the team who stopped him from winning a flag as coach.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Eesus. Melksham as our main target? Thatād be why we lost the match.

Is he that good? Tall but plays like a flanker.

Honestly, if we had 4 & 5, I think Iād rather keep them than trade them for 1.

Training Ground?
Someone would need deep pockets. Iād think the facility naming rights would be a lucrative component for us to exploit irrespective of where the funding comes from. Mind you - does Casey have such a deal? Or is it too heavily controlled by the council?

Training Ground?
Iād say your mail is good, but so good it is far from ready for announcement. When I asked my friend who would have some insight, his response was simply āSomething in the media?ā Then went on to reveal knowledge of discussions between the club and the trustees, that it would be a great result for the reserve (unaware of how good it would be for us!) but also that state govt currently has no budget to develop the land. It may be much too early for a reveal, as it sounds quite a bit of water needs to go under the bridge with securing significant funding for any sort of development. Iām not privy to the inner workings of these things, but it seems a bit chicken or the egg. A big commitment for us if no funding eventuates, but a development probably needs the profile of an AFL club to attract such funding. Iād say an AFL club that has just won another flag would be ideal, but maybe one that just had another strong finals showing is enough.

Training Ground?
Good mail redleg, Iāve had confirmed that we are ābeing considered as a tenantā but nothing official. This coming from an existing tenant. Long time coming. I may be singing the praises of Pert & Roffey once it lands.

Barrass to stay - bodes well for our chances to secure pick 1. At the same time, it increases the premium on key defenders, as McKay prepares to exit North. This might bring compensation further into play and if we are to keep our earlier picks.

Donāt worry mate, itās not a hole. It just has limited obvious appeal to a dumb kid. But weāre talking about footballers here, so not many Rhodes scholars among them.

Dangerfield Approached to Join AFL Commission
I think youād be missing the point. Goyder would enjoy having 1 extra vote up his sleeve to control the board, and what better puppet than a bloke that grossly overestimates his own smarts & charisma?

As I said - I would agree now! Changing tastes. Just a lot quieter than I liked at that age, but then again I was a fan of the big cities that donāt sleep. How to derail a thread in 3 easy steps... I see Brad Scott has been caught waxing lyrical over Harley on 360.

I think the narrow view you speak of may be more appropriate than your own, considering the demographic and company I kept would be very similar to what Harley would find himself in. And no, I didnāt venture to Freo, Cott or Scarborough then (on a Sunday at least) but I did 4 years ago & there wasnāt much change. Each to their own.
