  1. Bing, this is a bloke that has come in from no AFL pre season whatsoever and has showed glimpse of his talent. I watched him yesterday and he was such a dominant player using his speed and aggressiveness around the contest. Spargo coming in on the back off 2 weeks off with injury and then on top of a poor VFL game was quite bizarre.. As someone that's spent time with Spargo in his junior days, i am obviously a big fan and knows what he is capable off. Right now he is extremely lucky to be playing today, and is on thin ice after several players put their hands up yesterday. If he does not perform today then i would bring in Lockhart. Besides, for the good of his development it would not hurt him if he was at Casey developing his game and getting more midfield time where he was such a dominant player back at under 16s level.
  2. Watched the whole game and it was like watchin the Casey of old last year when they were up and about. The stand outs for me were: Lockhart: Genuinely all round classy game from Lockhart. Attacked the contest with such speed and power and used the footy well. 24 disposals 7 tackles and kicked 1.1.. On current form you would want him playing instead of Spargo. I am intrigued what a full AFL pre season could do for someone like Jay. Lewis: Exactly what you expect from Lewis. Was clean and just marshalled the midfield around the contest with his leadership and experience. Really liked his game. Preuss: Dominated around the ruck and around the ground. I felt at times he missed timed his leap. But that got better as the game wore on. He was a genuine brute today and honestly after watching that performance i would bring him in next week. Not only does he draw defenders and crash packs but also follows up with his 2nd efforts and pressure. Loved big Preussy today. 19 disposal 6 tackles 6 marks 41 hitouts and kicked 1.3 Dunkley: I honestly forgot that he was on our list until they mentioned his name pre game lol. But bloody hell he was very impressive! Plays a lot like his brother Josh when he is in the midfield and cracks in hard. Campbell Brown summed it it up well when he said he just gets in the right spots in the right time. Used the ball well and has a touch of class about him. Each quarter he would start up forward then rotate into the midfield for a 5 to 8 minute burst. Play another game like that and he'll be seeing AFL action very soon. 21 disposals 5 tackles 6 clearences and kicked 3 goals KK: Really loved his game today and really showed out with his composure and class. At one stage he courageously ran into on coming traffic and took a great intercept mark in the middle. The big thing that stood out to me was his workrate. He used his big engine to good use and at one stage he had it out on the back pocket and kicked 40m up the field to a contest and by the time it got there, KK had already pushed himself to help out a teammate and get a handball receive. That would have really excited Goodwin. Wagner: He ia a genuine star at VFL level and today was such a complete performance. Used his speed around the contest and rarely wasted the footy. Going on todays form i just wish he could translate that into AFL level. Special mentions to JKH, Petty and Chandler who all played really well also.
  3. It wouldn't hurt to ask the question
  4. Yep, the bloke who started this thread. He has a history though.. started a thread couple of years ago during the Roos era kicking and screaming like a child because some of the boys had put pictures on instagram out having a couple of beers after a loss... Humans having beers after a loss = death penalty according to him...
  5. Just saw there is a fair chance Oliver wont play tomorrow. Billy Stretch was pulled out of todays game 2 hour prior.
  6. Just watched him play against collingwood. 21 disposals 3 goals 5 tackles and 6 clearances. Hugely impressed by his game today and if he keeps playing like that he will play senior footy very soon.
  7. Dont know, but he definitely belongs at this level. Has done some really impressive stuff so far.
  8. Agree with this wholeheartedly.
  9. Chandler and Dunkley have started really well so for with 7 and 6 disposals to both.
  10. Kyle Dunkley looks a ripper!
  11. Umm you do realise he was officially dropped? As in his lines coaches and Simon Goodwin deemed his performance as unacceptable have dropped him after his insipid performance last week. Are you saying they got this wrong?
  12. Well that definitely changed over night. Very interesting indeed
  13. Omac wont play VFL as they have fiven Lever right until the last minute. Oscar is the carry over emergency and wont play VFL
  14. Im all for if it means her and Jack Viney are booted off that podcast for being so cringeworthy to listen too. Ok in all seriousness its not a hanging offence but its probably not a good look either. Lets put things in perspective. Mithen is a paid MFC employee. If this was Jack Viney or say Tom McDonald wearing a collingwood scarf then everyone would wanting blood. Honestly if i had personally stumbled across i can definitely vouchi that i would have continued scrolling on through..
  15. When this thread is suppose to be a celebration of Sam showing a great deal of loyalty and courage of admitting his struggles, instead now its just turned to complete [censored] becaude some feel the need to stroke their own ego's and beat their chest furiously.
  16. Well done Sam. Looking forward to seeing you develop into a fine key forward for us over the next few years.
  17. Did Lever get through todays training session??
  18. This has probably whats gotten lost amongst the commentary with that mark. His work rate to push hard forward was awesome to watch. Wanted the ball the moment he pushed away from the wing.
  19. When Sam Weideman came into the side against West Coast they played 5 games all up together finishing in the preliminary final. In those 5 games they averaged 19 goals between them. Weideman and McDonald will be fine. They like everyone else in our team are just going through a rut. I am backing them in to fins that kind of form in the 2nd half or next year when they have both completed full pre seasons.
  20. Aaaanyways.... I fully expect other to fall on their sword soon enough. This cannot be just on Bolton himself. Still amazed SOS has escaped the heat. People complain about our president being quite behind the scenes, but after watching the press conference the other week i sure as hell glad we dont have their president Mark LoGiudice running our ship. He's been through 3 sacked coaches, and still delusional to the point where he feels like hes doing a fine job and it was all on the coach. His stubbornness to take any form of responsibility is quite pathetic. Go on Carlton bigfootg and you will see the supporters share the same concern.
  21. How does Kyle Dunkley look on the track?
  22. Dont know why, but have this funny feeling we'll roll the pies this weekend Salem, Hore, May, Lever are MASSIVE ins for us.
