  1. I can't wait to see both Lachie Neale and Patrick Dangerfield named as this year's All Australian wingman.
  2. Think you'll find it was the significant injuries that retired Rockliff so quickly. He had two major knee injuries in both legs and at one stage was in a wheelchair because of this. Besides concussion, Brayshaw has been relatively injury free.
  3. My comment was a small hint of sarcasm actually. I watched this last night. The obvious question was about his contract and he completely deflected and tried to make it more about Luke Jackson's contract then his. He played a straight bat. Obviously having some long hard thoughts about his future and seems to like the WA lure if it presents itself.
  4. Think you're in for a rude shock. Hearing Goodwin after match press conference it certainly won't be Weideman who gets dropped.
  5. Hibberd is well behind the pecking order now. Having a calf complaint (old man injury in footy terms) at 32 years of age doesn't bode well for him this season. Even Joel Smith who is fighting for the same spot at VFL level is ahead of him which shows how far he is behind.
  6. First full pre season in many years. Definitely showing out in his game.
  7. Suck it Geelong!
  8. 'Hero' is a bit of a stretch mate...
  9. Yeah it was poor form booing him.
  10. I think you're right with this one.
  11. Anyone see the irony and a tint of sadness in watching Jesse Hogan on Saturday night? Got given an absolute bath by the bloke that we pretty much traded a direct swap for. I'll also add that Harrison Petty when on him at times towelled him up as well. Steven May has gone on to become an All Australian full back and premiership player, whereas Hogan has had off field issued and at his third club after Freo pushed him out the door quick enough. The tint of sadness is that I honestly thought after his 2015 season he was going to go on to becoming the games best forward in the competition and certainly had the potential to be an 60-80 goal a season superstar CHF. Watching on Saturday night, it simply confirmed that nothing has changed with him. The dude is 27 and is body language is still poor, he still abuses teammates for not hitting directly at his chest and then wanting to sit out the back wanting the cheap goal over the top. A player that will always talked about as 'what could have been'.
  12. Unfortunately for Tomlinson he's depth now and will only get a spot if there is an injury to either May or Petty. Whilst I think Tomlinson hasn't done much wrong in the past few weeks he is still looks underdone and his turning circle is fairly slow. Petty just picked up from where he left off last year and it's going to be extremely hard for the likes of Smith and Tomlinson to get a gig now.
  13. Hmm not sure about that. He went nuts when he shepherd that Tom Sparrow goal in last year's grand final. His body language when he missed that goal late in the game showed a guy that's completely bereft of confidence.
  14. That's was an elite performance all round and really fun to sit back with a couple of beers and not once feel stressed about tonight. It was fun. Harrison Petty just proved tonight how bloody important he is to our back six. We have missed him severely and now I'm at ease with our back six group. Tom Sparrow and Charlie Spargo really stood up tonight and contributed well. Liked their games. Bring on the tigs
  15. Brown in and Weid out.
  16. Holy smokes that was crazy by Sparrow
  17. Weideman and McDonald are absolutely pox. Sooner Brown is in the better.
  18. Not sure. But he's more forward then midfielder.
  19. Is currently with the under 16's Oakleigh Chargers team and played alongside another father son prospect in Kynan Brown last week against Sandy Dragons. One to watch.
  20. Ryan Koo is a former NGA prospect for the Dees. Though, I'm pretty sure he's still eligible even though he finished up at Dandenong Stingrays last year.
  21. Based on...?
  22. Great to have another premiership defender back in the team and a fantastic player too. And please, no more small forwards as subs.
  23. I was in the boat of just playing Petracca forward for majority of the game but now I think he needs to be rested. This is the same knee that he did the ACL and I think we just need to give him a rest and back out depth and also the likes of Oliver, Viney etc to solider on. I want a fit Petracca for the reminder of the year and if it means taking a week or 2 off then so be it. We brought in Dunstan for this exact reason so let's see what he has to offer.
  24. Not it's not just you. I tried to watch it the other night and it had no sound as well.
