  1. Interesting part on that. If Adelaide is not prepared to pay all of his wage - forcing Melbourne to still chip in some of his salary at a new club next season - the Demons would certainly ask for a better return on the picks. It means at least one more club may have to get involved in the Petracca deal if the Demons target a top-10 pick in the trade which Adelaide currently does not have. The future of hard nut Crow Luke Pedlar is the curve ball as the goal kicking playmaker is interested in more midfield opportunities after playing mainly forward in 2025. Pedlar, 23, has been hard hit by injuries at Adelaide, limiting him to only 39 games in five seasons. The man taken with pick 11 in the 2020 draft, from Mt Gambier, could emerge in trade discussions along with full back Jordon Butts. Butts, 25, is a free agent next year and could become a target for Melbourne if the club deals premiership defender Steven May to Collingwood. The Demons conceded the seventh-most points in the AFL this season and are eager to improve their defensive record under new coach King next season. But the Crows have not yet shown any interest in trading either Butts or Pedlar and would likely try and complete a Petracca deal with Melbourne with picks only.
  2. Exactly. Once they nominate thats it.. literally the last person to backflip to another club that had initally nominated a destination club was probably Mitch Clark.
  3. Judd. Christian has given some much to the club regardless what people think of the current circumstances. Premiership player, best and fairest winner etc etc.. McVee can get [censored]. We picked him when every other club ignored him, put ample amount of support around him, helped with his hamstring injury, only to then throw it back at our face.
  4. Eek.. hes a shocking media performer. Couldn't even bluff his way out of that one..
  5. Because other the him doing a Kent Kingsley on us he has done bugger all at AFL level. People get sucked in by one performance and think his Allen Jakovich. Been in the system for 3 years in one of the worse teams we have seen and he's struggled to break into the best 22. I dont want another Harry Sharp thanks.
  6. Its because we simply wouldnt get anything for him and that would be a disaster for us.
  7. There is a bit about Gus to Linsday i agree. I liken Lindsay to a Hugh McLuggage with his ability to play inside and out. Early days McLuggage was also a winger before he went inside, so I see similarities to that.
  8. Sam Flanders“Sam Flanders met with four clubs last week in Melbourne – St Kilda, Melbourne, Essendon and Carlton. “He’s got a couple of offers in; he’s going to wait for all four offers to come to his manager before he makes a decision. Got two years to run with the Gold Coast Suns, but the view is now he’ll return to Victoria and play for one of those clubs. “I think Melbourne is in the box seat because of his strong relationship with Steven King. I think that certainly helps given the time they spent at the Gold Coats Suns, interim coach at the back end of 2023. “He needs a fresh start, he wants to play more in the midfield, he’s been squeezed in the last 18 months under Damien Hardwick. “As Sam Edmund reported late last week, St Kilda has come very hard for Sam Flanders, so that spending spree appears to continue.” King:“For his football, should he go to St Kilda, or should he go to Melbourne? I just think he’s going to get more opportunity at St Kilda. Cornes: “St Kilda is a better proposition for him. I’d rather be playing at St Kilda than Melbourne – they seem a complete mess the Dees, don’t they?” King: “Complete mess is strong.” Cornes: “Their best player (Christian Petracca) wants out, (Judd) McVee is gone, who’s pulling the strings? New coach comes in… I’d rather go to the Saints.” King: “I agree.” Gabelich: “Melbourne is clearly going to be a big talking point in the trade period. They are going to be as active as anyone for who’s coming and who’s going.”
  9. SEN with Kane and Kingy
  10. Heard that too, Gaeblich is similar to Twomey in terms of having good sources.
  11. Absolute gun. Would love to see him get more of an inside role next year. You can build a solid midfield around both he and Langford.
  12. Yeah bit underwhelming to be honest.
  13. Just on Fox.
  14. Not only am i not gloating to you but you have completely misinterpreted my post where I pretty much explained that it was evidently clear that the McVee camp played the footy club to their terms privately to the point where its completely caught people off guard especially the powers to be at the footy club. How am I being childish?? Maybe look back to some of your earlier response in this thread to the way you would respond to others that clearly had doubts on whether Judd would stay. This right here typifies exactly what a childish response looks like.
  15. Without looking at his contract status, I would love to go after Kiddy Coleman from Brisbane as a replacement.
  16. I like him and can see him being in our best 22. I also want King to utilise his flexibility between back and forward.
  17. Caro was right eh? When I read this its clear Judd and his management clearly attempted to use the club as leverage. They also kept this incredibly private.
  18. Mate that ship sailed well as soon as Pickett re-signed and Goodwin got the [censored].
