  1. So then move him into a development specialist role undertaking the women's and men's program full time. No one is saying to completely toss Brown off to the side as his role within the women's program is vital for their development. But I can understand @Wizard of Kozpoint of view from a list management perspective. His body is absolutely cooked and hasn't played a full 22 game season since 2019. His body has slowly been on the decline since and there is a level of frustration that each year he's missing games with knee injuries time after time when our forward line has been at its vulnerable. I love Benny B and what he's done for this club off field. But to be honest I'd rather have a developing tall or the extra list spot for a fit and healthy kid who can just develope away then a guy that really is injury prone and missing games through the same injury he's battled throughout his AFL career. If we can find him a full time off field role in any capacity then that's a huge win for us.
  2. Why on earth would you use pick 3 on Caddy? He's not even a top 5 talent.
  3. 13. Caleb Windsor Melbourne Eastern Ranges, 184cm Midfielder The mail is that Melbourne is just about set on selecting Windsor with its second selection here. The Eastern Ranges product is another player to have shot up draft boards in the second half of the season, even more so after a strong showing at the national draft combine. The wingman had a big under-18 national championships with Vic Metro and is seen as a player with real weapons with his speed, foot skills and decision making. He is a modern-day wingman who most clubs would love to have.

  5. 10. Nate Caddy Geelong Northern Knights, 193cm Forward The Cats have also been linked to hard-running wingman Darcy Wilson, but marking forward Caddy would be hard to pass up if he’s still on the board. Melbourne also has interest in Caddy, but if it takes Leake then there’s every chance Caddy gets through to the Cats. Given Geelong’s ageing key forward stocks – Jeremy Cameron is 30 and Tom Hawkins is 35 – it makes sense to bring in some new blood. Recruiters believe Caddy has the potential to be a Charlie Curnow-type in time given his aerial abilities, power and strength.
  6. I've jumped on board the band wagon of picking him at 6. The more I watch of him the more I see Nat Fyfe similarities. I am no way saying his career will pan out the same way but his freak athletic attributes and strong aerial ability will be hard to match up on. Then taking into account that he's ability to have significant impact in all 3 lines of the ground being back, mid and forward. Very rarely you see junior talent being able to do this at this level.
  7. Can someone post summary of Melbourne's picks?
  8. It'll be a matter of time before he is snapped up in the AFLM environment. Whoever does that will be incredibly lucky to be get such a valuable asset into their environment.
  9. No to picking up WC plodders and rejects thanks. Clearly don't have the list spots for any delisted free agents.
  10. You can't include the girls into the men's in terms of culture. That's offensive to the girls program. It's Separate. The girls are a very well drilled team which is driven hard by Mick Stinear who's created a fantastic culture for the women's. The boys could learn a thing or two from the way Mick and his team go about it from a culture point of view.
  11. Updated profile on Kynan. https://central.rookieme.com/afl/player/kynan-brown/
  12. If the club decides to nominate him it'll be through the rookie I presume.
  13. Talking about Rankine? He certainly surprised me this year. I thought his career was heading down the same pathway as Richard Tambling but he really surprised me this year. Slowly becoming one of my favourite players in the competition
  14. Leake is class and skill above Sanders. Sanders is a ball winning machine and is one dimensional in terms of hes pigeon-holed to play one position only. Leake is athletically far more gifted then Sander and has genuine versatility and X factor.
  15. I think we'd be looking at O'Sullivan with pick 11 more then anything. I could be wrong but.
  16. Yep, Dees both have interest in O'Sullivan and Wilson. Geelong, GWS and Adelaide especially have significant interest in 'Sully' I'm sure we have a range players in mind for pick 11 but that's all I know from up this regional way.
  17. We have interest in Darcy Wilson from the Murray Bushrangers.
  18. Poor bugger. Reckon he is pretty stiff considering he missed significant part of the season due to injury. Footy can be brutal.
