Thing with both Flanders and Windhager is cleary the money is significantly more then what we have offered. If Flanders accept the saints offer then simply its a money thing over the connection with King. St Kilder upped their offer the moment they found out we had strong interest in Windhager and that was pretty much it. Im not saying our salary cap is tight, but i doubt there's wriggle room to go after a Ben King or Zak Butters next year. For that to happen either Petracca oe Oliver would need ro be off the books which is why the Club is clearly okay with Petracca looking around.

Of course there isnt. Average year from a midfielder earning ridiculous amount of money on a huge contract. On top of no brownlow votes for the year, 10 votes in the coaches award this year which is incredibly poor and 7th in the best and fairest all of this whilst just missing the one game. Rivers aim next year should be a transitioning into a full time midfielder. We shouldn't really be speaking of him as midfield depth McRae would be a much better acquisition in terms of depth ahead of Bailey Laurie and Harry Sharp who both havent shown anything at AFL level. McRea showed some strong glimpses even in his first year in 2021 where he showed good ball winning ability and composure as an inside and outside mid. Limited opportunities due to having an elite midfield group that would be a struggle to break into. Had a significant injury problem this year and only played the 6 VFL games this year because of it. Even when he did play his numbers at VFL level was strong.

No, because first of all Trac has to agree to go to Richmond which he wont because clearly he wants to go to a contending team which Richmond aren't. In terms of that. Richmond would love at those offer's.

No club will take his full wage. It really is a rarity now days a club will take on a full salary on top of what they have offered from there end. On top of their bubbling salary cap and willingness to re-sign Ben King next year, they will want a war chest ready to go for him.

Funny when you follow the draft so closely and you become emotionally attached to a draftee with hope that they fall through to your pick. Fin McRae was one for me.. genuinely thought Collingwood got an absolute steal with him at the time. I wouldnt be against him coming through as a delisted free agent for midfield depth.

I'm not a fan of trading Trac out at all. If he decides to leave then it leaves a gaping hole of talent in our midfield depth. 2nd in the best and fairest and still polled 16 brownlow votes for a guy that was playing catch up from last year. Whilst Flanders isn’t a like for like, he's talented enough to narrow that hole that Petracca will leave if he ends up leaving.
