  1. Haha yeah but its not the coaches vault. Probably one of the absolute worst takes from old mate bingers
  2. We are genuinely a bang average footy club. Our skills are absolutely deplorable and probably the worse in the AFL competition. Old players are completely washed up and cooked. Makes me sick to think we've got another 12 months of Goodwin rubbish.
  3. Of course after 4 weeks of no goals, we just let Curnow snag a easy 3 goals. Only [censored] melbourne
  4. What a atrocious quarter. Same [censored] game plan where we are constantly bombing it to our smalls heads. I dont think ive seen a more worse skill level for an AFL club such as Melbourne. Makes me sick we have another year of this Goody rubbish
  5. Hit a [censored] target ffs! Genuinely one of the worse skilled team in the competition
  6. Kicking is atrocious
  7. Lazy, lazy, lazy kick by Gawn.
  8. [censored] Maysey stay on him!
  9. For a good cause.
  10. How does he go?
  11. Harmes was also a Roos selection. Out of curiosity, when you say there hasnt been a single draft bust between 2016-2020, what exactly are you referring too? First round picks? second round?
  12. Goodwin pretty much confirmed they won't go down the pathway of JUH. Glad we won't touch him. Had a mate bump into him in Bali last off season at one of the popular night spot.. wowee oh boy...
  13. No. He had covid.
  14. Love: Jefferson, Tholstrup, Windsor and Windsor stay in again. Hate: Sharp gets a call up...
  15. Well Petty is coming back through the reserves and May will be in for Lever so I reckon McDonald stays in.
  16. Looks like McDonald in the whites jumper (B team) and Kynan Brown in the Blue (A team) at training.. 🤷🏽‍♂️
  17. This is based off my own gut feeling, but I think Fritsch will definitely stay and Oliver could potentially be shopped around. When I thought about him saying that we're trying to evolve our midfield into a transitioning team, to me Oliver is the odd one out. As you say, they're not going to come out and say we're not trading anyone out, but I think we're going to be ruthless this off season. And when you're ruthless, sometimes you have to give up quality to get something back in return.
  18. Apple PodcastsSimon Goodwin, Melbourne coach (17.07.25)Podcast Episode · SEN Breakfast · 16/07/2025 · 14mInteresting interview. Few points he made that pricked my ears Off season focus will be adding more midfield talent to fit in with our transitioning game. I think there will be another focus on adding forward talent and experience. Quote, "leaving no stone unturned" when I heard that my initial reaction was Charlie Curnow and Harry McKay. Exposing talent. Spoke about the likes of Jeffo, Tholstrup, Lindsay, Langford continuing to get opportunities. Will look at maybe exposing more, but key focus is to also win and win well. Spoke about continuing to work with Oliver and the work hes done on and off field. Focus has been building his capacity on field and has seen the growth on a weekly basis to then hopefully have a huge off season to get him back to his best. Goes on weekly walks with Paul Guerra to discuss on where the club us at. Incredibly disappointing about the 0-5 which puts club under pressure and challenges within the club. Proud of the club that its been able to work through those challenges over the last few weeks. Found Adelaide the most challenging team we've come across this year. Was asked about Judd McVee and Bayley Fritsch. Laughed about the Bayley Fritsch rumour. Said we need forwards and hes a valuable member of the team Judd McVee is still working his way through his contract and negotiations. Said "we're hopeful Judd will sign on in the not too distant future". Didn't exactly sound all that confident. Sounded very similar to the Luke Jackson talk imo.
  19. Agree wholeheartedly
  20. Fritta is the type of player that under s good solid coaching regime with the appropriate game plan such as a Brisbane or Collingwood, could still kick over 50 goals a season.
  21. For all of Fritsch deficiencies, I would be shocked if we traded him out. With all of our forward lines woes, at least Fritta still hits the scoreboard and gets into the right spots to have scoreboard impact.
