Clearly the plan was to try and get experience but I have no doubt that with picks 7 and 8 they would be okay with that knowing they're still got early access to two elite talent. Taylor is great at this draft range so I'm happy for him to have another year with bringing in quality once again.

Im talking about the last couple of years. Our midfield got exposed in many ways because of the way the game was changing which was transitioning out of contest and contested footy to a more transitioning game. No coincidence that at times our midfield function way better when Viney missed games because all of a sudden our midfield wasn't predicable with 3 plodders in Viney, Petracca and Oliver all in the same centre circle. Once Viney came back in it threw our midfield structure completely out of wack and we got dominated once again. The game is moving away from having big bulls in the midfield now days. You either have Green or Oliver in there at times.

There is no where in this video does he say "we have no interest in the draft".. If anything he sounded like we're still open minded to stock piling on young talent if need even though we have hit the draft hard the last few years. As he said, it will also depend on the balance of adding mature age players as well.

Sam Grlj (Butters like), Sully Robey, Josh Lindsay, Dyson Sharp, Osker Taylor and Mitch Marsh are the names that should be on our priority list.

I think we all prefer Humphrey linked in there somehow but unless he comes out and says I want a trade to Melbourne then this just may have to do. Rogers is now off the board so we can forget him as well. I like those early picks because Taylor has a good strike rate in that kind of range.
