I'm pretty sure that if it comes out that Kentfield has decided not to pursue a career any further, then the club places him on the inactive list which means this opens up a list spot for us. He can't be off the list completely until he is officially delisted and paperwork is lodged through to the AFL which doesn't happen until the first list lodgement at the end of the year. Correct. Signed a contract extension alongside Kynan Brown and AMW back in September last year. I'm not going to jump to conclusions and say he's been delisted as of yet like some have already. Because it rarely happens in today's AFL trade landscape that there is a player trade between two clubs, especially gun players as well. Give me examples of when this has happened the last 5 years? If Kozzie leaves at the end of the year and Melbourne use the same ANB home/family treatment then two early first round draft picks is the starting point. Freo then need to get creative.

Saw nothing in the the last few games in Judd McVee that suggest he'll do well as a midfielder. Not everyone needs to be turned into a midfielder. He's a gun half back flanker that's shut down some of the best small forwards in the game in his short career so far. Leave him there.

Why the need to look at other codes for talent?

Because they would genuinely suck, and a big waste of club resources and time. Being tall and athletic with no footy IQ doesn't mean they'll make it as a AFL footballer I hope the club has put a complete line in attempting to convert basketballers into try hard footballers. Hopefully we've seen the last of the Farris-Whites and Austin Bradke's of the world.. (no offence to them) There are genuine ruckman and defenders hidden all over the country, we just have to find them. Or if we want to go outside the box, then go down the Irish route which our club started the very first experiment.

We were very interested in small forward Joe Berry from last year's draft who went to Port Adelaide. Jason Taylor and his team made several trips up the border here to Wangaratta to interview over the course of the year. Maybe worth keeping an eye on over the next few years.

Jye Amiss is a true WA boy. No way would he agree to a trade into Victoria. They're building a forward line around him for the next decade.

One of them obstacles for Freo being that he's still contracted until 2027 which takes him to Free agency. If he wants to leave at the end of this year then Freo are going to have to stump up alot!

You can still win games and be happy at the same time and leave all at the same time. Just ask Alex Neale Bullen. He clearly he wants to be around more extended family and me personally have no issues with at all even though he is my favourite player on the list and someone that gets me more excited since Jurrah, Farmer and Davey.

He'll definitely leave at some point and I have no doubt about that. Whether if that's the end of this year or when he's contract runs out, either way, we'll be fairly compensate if the right deal is there that suits us.
