I agree, I think he is gone by our pick. Alot of clubs are searching for small forwards so would be surprised if he goes early second round pick.

Beauty about bringing people from Geelong is that they know what breeds success with high elite standards, and yes I'm adding Rivers to that because he played at Geelong for a couple of years. The thought of Hawkins educating our young forwards is bloody exciting.

Coaches aren't required to attend these live trade events. You must be thinking of the draft nights where Goodwin has sat in on them. I presume King will do the same come next month. The only coach that attended on the night was Ross Lyon purely because he is also looking after head of football. Sam Mitchell for instance was in America on a PD trip. I have no doubt King would have been doing a lot of interviews in the background with the likes of CJ and Steele leading up to final day of trade.

Watch Harvey Langfords rising star video. Had nothing but full praise for Petracca for taking him under his work and working alongside him. Tholstrup has also been on record saying the exact same thing in kne of his first interviews at the club.

In fairness, there isnt many small forwards that come through the draft of that talent and ilk. Last one since Watson was none other then our Kozzie Pickett and probably Cody Weightman perhaps.

I remember reading something about him growing up with an alcoholic step father father who use to do some crazy [censored] to his mum which he was exposed to as a child. His real father walked out on the family when he was only a toddler. I dont think he had the greatest of up bringing to be fair.

Im pretty aligned with this as well. I think with where the game is going, all 3 prospects fit the sort of game style Kingy is talking about. I know some question Grjl ball use at times but i really do love his break away speed and X factor. Doveston is exactly the kind of small forward this club has lacked over the journey. The annoying and cocky type similar to a Nick Watson type.

If we need a couple of waterboys on game day, he would be handy for that.

Had a soft spot for Taj.. All the best and hope he gets another gig elsewhere.
