  1. Yes agree, the personal jabs was unnecessary. He's a premiership hero in my eyes so he's got enough respect for me. I'll be honest and I think I could upset a few here, but I'm starting to think even his own teammates don't trust him on field. Unfortunately, this is a real thing in footy clubs. His body is slowly letting him down and when you're getting beaten easily one on ones then that starts to play on your mind as a teammate so then find yourself assessing other options. I saw this last week and yesterday as well. It was glaring to say. There's been moments where he's lead into space and they've totally ignored him by either going the difficult option or just playing the percentage. Goodwins comments post game pretty much confirms that he wasn't overly impressed with Browns game and I think we'll see him getting dropped.
  2. Yeah I understand. I don't mind some footy shows only because I like to get a different perspective on thr club instead of just having my rosy red and blue glasses on. Some shows and media outlets provide some really valuable stats which I find really insightful.
  3. Never said that. Just said "Oh dear John."
  4. But I think you do care? It obviously gets to you slightly because you and few other still have reacting to those comments on this thread. I hear the comments as well but I brush it off because at the end of the day they're paid to give opinions and whether they're right or wrong, its the results that will speak for themselves.
  5. Jaded, in fairness, if his body is completely banged up and is bone on bone then he simply shouldn't be playing at AFL level. I'm a big Benny Brown fan more then anyone but he was pretty woeful yesterday. He was easily beaten one on one by Jordan Butts and Nick Murray who are inexperienced defenders. To put it kindly it wasn't pretty too watch, and for a guy so big he was easily ragdolled. Goody speaks about being ruthless in the contest and I saw zero of that. Whilst you say there are no other options available, I'll argue that we have Petty (yes I know he was out injured) who's proven the forward experiment can work, Grundy and even Schache who is fit and would have provided better output then Brown yesterday. I personally like to see Petty take his spot. He's physically better in one on ones and not someone that gets pushed off so easily. We have 7 weeks to get this right, why not give Petty a go.
  6. Honestly surprised reading the comments on here by majority of supporters who not only think we get hard done by in the media, but easily so sucked in as well lol..
  7. Made my week. Well done choco
  8. Geez we've been bad with our kick outs.
  9. Getting shown up big time
  10. Means nothing if you're fighting back and not getting the results. Pies on the other hand simply get the results.
  11. Nah
  12. And then dropped a sitter inside 50 from a JHF pass with a minute to go.
  13. This is a huge loss for the Lions. He's averaging 22 disposals and 5 score involvements this year for a first year kid which is super impressive. He's all class and suddenly Brisbane will now have depth issues with filling his spot.
  14. Dees by 28.
  15. The best outcome for us would be to finish 2nd. It's reachable and getting a home final against the Lions or Port would be ideal imo.
  16. We're not talked about as serious contenders because we've also dropped games against the likes of Freo, Essendon and GWS. Those games we simply should not have lost to those clubs. Whilst I don't think it'll happen, we're also still a chance to drop out of top 4. There's still some inconsistencies in our game that needs tweaking. Is the Brisbane win the start of hopefully a good momentum shift tor us? I hope so.
  17. Here's my take. Port and Brisbane have no chance winning it at the G, especially against the pies. So that leaves us as the only team that'll potentially threaten them come September.
  18. Name one game an opposition team has put a hard tag on him where's he's had zero impact?
  19. Oh come on Jaded. You're now taking the [censored]. I know you have your red and blue glasses firmly on, but to say they've average players in all fronts of the ground just shows you barely watch their games to actually appreciate how good they are ([censored] pains me to say that) First up, you do realise they are the number 1 defensive team in the competition right? How can you say they're average in defence when there's a stat that proves this which was showed On the Couch last week. Maynard, Murphy, Moore, Quaynor, Howe ans Noble are a solid back 6 that's carried them well this year. Degoey hasn't done a thing in finals? Had 26 and 2 goals against the cats last year, 24 and 1 goal against the dockers the following week and then got heavily tagged the week after against Sydney. His grand final in 2018 he had 14 and 3 goals playing predominantly as a forward. Week before in the Richmond game he had he kicked 4.1 and was close to BOG. They had a hard tag on Daicos tonight lol. Yet still had 23 and kicked a crucial goal in the last quarter. His influence in the last quarter was telling. Teams barely play hard tags now days. Name me one team that will threaten Collingwood who also play a traditional tagger? No one, except tonight. In fact name a game where a team has put a hard tag on Daicos where's he's struggled throughout the match. I'll wait.
  20. Average defence? Mate do you watch any of their games? Darcy Moore will most likely be All Australian as will Isaac Quaynor who's one of the best small defenders in the game. Their midfield with now DeGoey and Siebottom back takes them up a level. They have one of the best midfield talent this generation has ever seen and will most likely win a Brownlow. You seriously underestimate them as club, it's actually laughable.
  21. Yet they find ways to win. Their mental strength in games is incredibly impressive
