Farewell Brodie Grundy
I'd be extremely surprised if he asked for a trade.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Yeah I like how the club is trying to be creative with Grundy. I think it's bold by Goodwin and shows that we're not set on same system compared to last year where I felt we were too rigid set on what made us great in 2021.

Farewell Sam Weideman
My god.. Why am I not bit surprised once again you've popped up and twisted the narrative to suit your own agenda. First of all this is absolutely a horrible take by you because all my responses have been purely around my concern for his wellbeing. I've been pretty respectful with what I've wrote on here recently and genuinely think that he'll get more fulfilment in life other then footy. Seriously, grow up and stop trying to look at every opportunity to get offended at every single comment that exists on a football forum.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Look, I don't think it's impossible, but you do need to understand that he's been programmed his whole AFL career as a genuine number 1 ruckman. Its going to take a while for him to adjust to being a full time forward. He'll need to learn about certain leading patterns, timing of when to lead and not too, body on body position etc. It's those little things that'll take time to adjust. I like how the club is being bold about this. They've identified that it hasn't worked so let's assess other options and instead not let if fester away until the seasons done. Still think they'll find a way to fit Grundy coming in towards the finals.

Farewell Brodie Grundy
Peter Wright was always drafted as a forward more then a ruckman. His career at the Suns was always 70% forward and the rest as a relief ruckman. Similar with Charlie Dixon. He's always started his career up forward with spurts in the ruck. One thing about Peter Wright, Charlie Dixon and that stands out ahead of Grundy is that they've got the natural forward craft to go along with their strong contested marking. This is their strength where as Grundy lacks these traits that you need in a solid key forward.

AFL Under 18 Championships 2023
Kynan finished the game with 20 disposals 7 tackles and 5 clearences. I only watched bits of the first half. Anyone know how he went for the rest of the game?

Whatever other passions he's got in life. My main point is footy isn't the be all and end all.

Same losers always ruining a good thread by going completely off topic. On a topic related matter, I hope Sam can find his way out of this form slump and play relatively good footy.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I've been watching the Vic Metro game. Brown looks a great prospect imo.

Farewell Sam Weideman
"Incredibly talented footballer" is a bit of a stretch to be honest. I accepted a while ago that I thought he was a good honest footballer who really does try his heart out, but still lacked the basics that you needed to take the next step of being a good key forward. He's very inconsistent and for such a guy that's right in his prime now he should be now influencing games, yet he still plays like a first year key forward. Example is, he's had 8 years in the AFL system and yet he's never kicked 20 goals in a season at AFL level. The most he's kicked in a year is 19. Josh Schache for instance has even kicked 24 in one year. When I think of incredibly talented players in the key forward stakes, the first two that come to mind are Aaron Naughton and Charlie Curnow. Weideman is not even remotely close to matching their talents. He's actually a great guy off field and gives you that vibe that you badly want him to make it, but it's just not going to happen unfortunately. All good, better things in life then footy.

Farewell Sam Weideman
He's had to unfortunately delete his instagram account again (did this back in 2019). Starting to question whether Scott is doing the right thing for his mental health simply by playing him when he's horribly out of form. I also do worry if AFL footy is for him. We know once he drops his head that's it for him and he struggles to fight his way out of it. Saw some pretty horrible and personal comments last night from Bombers supporters on social media directed at Weideman. Needs a good 4 weeks at VFL level just to get back enjoying footy again because on observation last night he's not enjoying it one bit.

Colby McKercher
Right now we hold pick 4. This is the kid I want in the red and blue. He's and inside and outside mid who has good break away pace and ability to win huge numbers of the ball. He's rising high in draft stocks and is a definite top 5 pick in my opinion. This was him yesterday. Few highlights from this year's championship carnival.

Seeing some pretty bad comments on social media regarding Sam Weideman. Was reading a stat that he hasn't kicked a goal in 6 week.. How on earth does that happen for a key forward?

I remember when both Gawn and Goody said the Gawn/Pruess combo will work as well. Funny that.

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Yeah I've gone off Duursma purely just think others have overtaken him. He'll still be a talent at AFL level no doubt.

Yeah I think I'm leaning towards McKercher. Just watched his highlights and he's everything we're missing in our midfield mix.
