  1. That's the concerning part is that Lewis is still quiet connected and close mates with the likes of Gawny, Melksham and few others. Certainly he'd be aware of what's going on.
  2. Into em Byron..
  3. The point is that a lot can play out between now and October. Things change quickly such such personal circumstances. If Oliver came to the club and requested a fresh start for the benefit of his mental health then there's no doubt the club would certainly assess the options. The Jesse Hogan point was he was also contracted for a few years and was dealing with a lot of personal issues with his family and mental health. Goodwin was asked around September 2018 and categorically denied he would be traded. Well didn't that all change.. You can absolutely believe what you want to believe from Goodwins presser because of course he's going to play a straight bat. Had he come out and said that there are no guarantees that Oliver remains with the club then imagine the media going to town and the significance of the story. Look at the way Ken Hickley has handled the Houston talk the past few weeks. All Hinkley has been saying about Houston is "he's contracted player and we expects to stay" stock standard coaching 101 in how to play a straight bat to the media and not fuel the fire. Yet all the talk is that he's absolutely set on coming back to Victoria. I'm not saying he will be traded at all purely because I don't think a club will take on his huge contract and salary, but if an opposition club came and dangled an offer that would be too good to refuse for the footy club, then absolutely, you'd be pretty stupid to think that the footy club wouldn't look at it. I definitely think Petracca absolutely stays, and the club will be he'll bent in him staying but I think there is still a bit to play out regarding Oliver.
  4. Absolutely not the point I was making but okay..
  5. I'm bias so it's a yes from me.
  6. I know, that's what I mean that's he's had great Intel with the Dees when it comes to off field player movement.
  7. He's always had a great Intel with the Dees.
  8. Go away
  9. Jay Clark think there's still a big watch on Clayton Oliver this off season even though Goodwin stated that he won't be traded. He expects Geelong to dangle the carrot for Oliver and Sam Landsberger also stated that he's always thought Geelong would come after him.
  10. Jay Clarke reporting that he thinks Dan Houston will now wont be at Melbourne due to the off field issues and will assess other Victorian options or stay at Port Adelaide.
  11. Don't leave us hanging..
  12. Kane makes some good points here.
  13. Parker is far superior player to Billings and Hunter and would help in the trenches with our lack of midfield depth. Our midfield need more support. Add a pick 6 midfield talent, hopefully James Peatling and a Luke Parker and all of a sudden our midfield has some potency in there. With Rivers going to a new level next year in the midfield, this finally gives us new added depth.
  14. Smashed us a few weeks ago and loved his inside. Stoked to hear we're talking to him. Any idea which way it could lead to?
  15. Knee and Ribs were incidents from weekends game. This has been confirmed by Selwyn.
  16. Selwyn Griffith confirmed the knee injury and ribs were from Saturdays game. The hand he's obviously carried all year.
  17. Lepper is off to the Dons.
  18. By here they come I mean season ending surgeries.
  19. Fremantle drubbing. There was something off about the players that day. Almost like a statement was made.
  20. Yeah to be honest I'm not a fan of him playing down back. The vision i've seen him play he's looked okay and does tend to get lost. I want to see him more as that forward ruck role that I saw back when he was playing in the under 15's championships up here in Lavington few years back. His athletic ability and movement in the ruck and especially up forward reminded me a lot of Sam Darcy. Just my opinion, but I really do think he's wasted down back.
  21. New bub, all his extended family support are back in WA and SA and his partner is from Larrakia country which is up Darwin. You only have to watch the Kozzie documentary to realise how incredibly close he is with his family. As I said a few pages back. When you become a new parent your whole perspective in life changes and the support you need when you become a new parent is immense.
