Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
Yep. I saw a huge shift in the way Goody coached and if there was a game I could pin point where it all started I would say it's the Brisbane game. From there on, we got challenged in each and every game and yet we were able to rise above and beat those teams. Something we struggled with last year in the back half. The other shift has been our defensive system and contest game. Our defensive status is back to being number 1 again in most areas as it was back in 2021. We're number 1 for contested footy and history will say that if you have these fundamental in perfect shape come September then you have one hand on the premiership cup already.

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Was barely ever named emergency as well. Seriously rotten luck for poor Lukey. I too agree that he should have been rewarded for form over the likes of James Harmes who completely stunk it up everytime he was given an opportunity. He'll obviously be delisted, so all the best for Luke.

I still have recovered from 2005 when Russell Robertson 76 goals a season got snubbed for Brad [censored] Johnson's 42 goals. Gerard Healy can EAD for that.- Game plans, tactics and all that jazz

Maybe I'm on my own, but I don't mind this at all. He's a massive accumulator of the footy so we'd have no issues generating clearences and and getting first hands on the footy. Does this free up the likes of Oliver and Petracca to spend even more time up forward so they're not crashing and bashing their bodies? He comes free without giving up a draft pick up. He's an All Australian midfielder as well so there's certainly class and talent there.- PREGAME: QF vs Collingwood

Interesting by Tom Morris here..- FIXTURE: 2023 Finals
Without wanting to get ahead this is probably what excites me. He'll be like a brand new recruit inside our forward 50 and I have already tipped that if he has an injury free year he'll kick over 50 goals next season.- PREGAME: QF vs Collingwood
No you're not the only one. His attack on the contest and ability to aggressively spoil his man was impressive. He was also willing to back himself when needed to attack. Few times he got into good positions and nearly took some good intercept grabs. At one stage he was incredibly stiff to not be paid a mark deep in their attacking 50. Him and May were alternating between McLean and Amarty and both kept them to 1 goal between the two. So yes, he did his job well. - Christian Petracca and Jack Viney named in All Australian squad
