  1. Just on an interesting one. I heard this on the SEN trade bell few weeks back but someone had texted in at the time saying that Melbourne are trying hard to get Riley Thilthorpe from Adelaide. I obviously didn't take much notice of it because many things get said with zero substance on those Trade bells that random people just text in. Listening to trade radio just then and it was mentioned one again that someone has texted in saying we are trying desperately hard in gaining Thilthorpe from the Crows. Again, I'm not putting any substance to it but it's interesting that it was mentioned again but on a different platform. Certainly a good discussion to have. 200cm key forward who was a pick 2 in the 2020 draft. Certainly makes sense.
  2. I find this a bit pot kettle black. You're happy to jump down other people's throat on here when things are said in the heat of the moment regarding any Melbourne player but when the shoe is on the other foot such as this its all good and well because someone wears a different jumper? Can't pick and choose just to suit your narrative here.
  3. This is why I think we'll focus on youth this trade period and clear out some cap space. Reason why? I think there'll be an element of truth where we'll go incredibly hard after Zak Butters next year
  4. https://thewest.com.au/sport/west-coast-eagles/afl-trade-2023-melbourne-look-to-swoop-on-gws-ruckman-matt-flynn-from-under-west-coasts-noses-c-12079834 Anyone have full link to this?
  5. Definitely not how I read into it.
  6. Sam Edmund and Tom Morris just confirmed on Trade Radio that there is absolutely no substance to Melbourne potentially in the market for Ben King, Aaron Naughton or Oscar Allan. Edmund went on to explain that he was speaking to someone influential inside Melbourne and the focus will be blooding and giving the kids more opportunities at senior level.
  7. There's actually a difference between venting and then wishing someone gets hit by a bus. I'm all for venting away, go for it! But then it's beyond pathetic when people are saying such [censored]. Thought we were better then this. Clearly not.
  8. Thought it was pretty damming that he wasn't part of the group of players that were left out of the Casey's elimination for the carry over into the seniors. The fact they preferred Woewodin and Laurie just shows how far down the pecking order he was.
  9. Unfortunately I'm starting to think this is the case.
  10. There's a bit of Richmond 2017 style to Collingwood with their forward set up yesterday. Play the Mihocek as the sole key forward focus similar to Jack Riewoldt and then the remaining forward line was made up of smalls in Hill, Elliot, Ginavvan and McCreery. Meanwhile they had Frampton doing a full lock down role on Harris similar to Jacob Townsend who was tagging Jake Lever in the 2017 grand final.
  11. Lol.. yet its Howe who has the last laugh while Cameron has to drown his sorrows playing in 2 grand finals without a win. I know what I'd rather take.
  12. Best you were saying this last year. They'll ve top 4 again next year without hesitation.
  13. That's because you're right, he hasn't. Sometimes I wonder if posters even watch footy.
  14. It's not the small forwards that the issue, it's the flawed system that Goodwin has that doesn't play to their advantages. Goodwin wants all our small forwards to be the link up option instead of actually being there for the drop of the ball. Too many times are smalls are pressed so high up that when we win back possession through sling shot we have no one in space to kick to their advantage I can't remember the last game where our genuine small forwards have created goals from being front and centre of the forwards or given the space and opportunity ahead of goal. Look at the way McRea uses Hill. In our system there is no way he gets so much space an opportunity as what he does at Collingwood. I'm all for Watson, but not if Goody is going to run with the same flawed system that he's had the past 2 years.
  15. Inserted himself way too much this year. You've had your time Pete, rack off.
  16. Mate calm ya [censored] farm. Seriously, I get it's hurting watching Maynard win a premiership medal but spewing up pathetic comments such as you hope he gets hit by a bus is pure filth. Pull your head in. You sound exactly like Collingwood filth supporter. Time to lock this thread @Demonland
  17. Well this thread should have been permanently shut down here as you stated. To leave this open is now simply rubbing salt into the wound now that Maynard has a medal around his neck.
  18. His performance yesterday plus the finals has catapulted him into elite status for small forwards of the competition. To then put on that performance yesterday in front of 100k is seriously impressive. Hope Kozzie was watching.
  19. They weren't the only who said their game wouldn't stand up come finals. Could easily pick out a few more. They're quiet now.. How's their shrewed recruitment? Markov and Hill added for extra speed and skill that compliments their game plan. Kudos to McRea, he's a fine operator.
  20. Unfortunately he has the last laugh.
  21. Further proof you don't need to go out and spend big money on a ruckman. Mason Cox as a premiership ruckman? Take note Goodwin.
  22. Lol.. bet you were saying that last year. Pay respect where it's due. They find ways to win games. Their senior leaders were the ones who have stood up all finals stark difference to ours. They have a system that McRea has found that suits their playing list. They'll continue to add and top up with players because they're attractive destination and McRea has show he's willing to give you a go regardless if you're a delisted free agent like Markov or not. Meanwhile Goody brings in Dunstan and Schache and flat out refuses to play them.
  23. I know. But seeing them just win a premiership doesn't make that any sweeter at all. I don't care if we can beat them or not, all that matters is who stands up in September which we've been chokers the last 2 years and that's not a good tag to carry.
