  1. Whatever happens with Melk this year I'd still personally offer him another contract. Deserves to at least have a crack at a full reason. Cannot be judged off whatever performance he displays this year because at the end of the day he hasn't got the miles in the legs from a full summer of training. We'll go into next year with a younger list and I'd prefer if we can hang onto someone like a Melksham who is pretty much acting as an assistant coach with the forwards. Hunter, Brown, Tomlinson are the more older guys I'd let go before Melksham.
  2. Immensely talented. Still to this day there isn't a Melbourne player I've come across that could absolutely drill a low flat 40m pass on either footy with ease. He was laconic as they come but God when he was on he could seriously player. If you ever get the chance ask David Neitz and Russell Robertson what they thought of trapper. Their eyes would light up when he had ball in hand.
  3. Cool... couldn't care less how far he runs At the end of the day his two misses were proven costly alongside Petty.
  4. Tarranto is the furtherest thing from being a class player lol. Absolutely butchers the footy and has zero composure. Next.
  5. No it wasn't lol. They were both smiling and having a chuckle together. They both have clearly had interactions previously with the whole Petty and Zorko situation few years back.
  6. A great debut.. leave him in the seniors for the rest of the year. The more game time and experience he gains the better he'll be at AFL level.
  7. Our inaccuracy cost us our 2023 premiership campaign. It is the story of this Melbourne era and we've done nothing in rectifying the issue. Sums it all up.
  8. Lol he absolutely wasn't tripped over the line.
  9. Langdons two miss at goal has been costly
  10. The Petty miss has given them all the momentum
  11. Oliver wtf was that
  12. Seriously, if Petty can't nail those basic shots then he needs to be moved out of the forward. Just gave them the momentum now.
  13. Holy [censored] that a quarter!
  14. Great pressure!! Eat a [censored] Andrews you stain!
  15. Great pressure!! Eat a [censored] Andrews you stain!
  16. Cmon lads we're on here!
  17. Not really... he's been pretty poor this year post injury. Had it not been for Salem's injury I would have dropped him for AMW.
  18. I continued to be amazed by team selections each and very week. It's like the Thursday night meat raffle.. you just never know what you're going to get. Poor Kynan..
  19. Love this a lot! More blooding of talent which I'm all for. The regenerating of talent is super important, especially if we want to continue to remain competitive.
  20. He's been quoted as using this same philosophy at the Swans when he had the likes of Goodes, Hall, Kirk, Micky O etc. I'm also a big believer in this. Every player has a price and a trade capital. I think a genuine fresh start could actually benefit him similar to how Jesse Hogan is reaping those benefits. It won't happen though, no one will touch his contract.
  21. Yeah I'm genuinely perplexed at this. This coaching group never cease to amazing me of late with some of the more bizarre coaching decisions they pull out of their backside.
  22. As Paul Roos once said, "Every player is tradable" If the right player and offer was there for us then I have no doubt the club would look at it. No one is going to take the lengthy contract hovering above his head but.
