Bennell not coming to the dees, has been ruled out.
-
Lots of interest and Howe gone (although he did say he may still stay)
-
Josh Mahoney on SEN said Garland announcement will be in next few days. He will stay.
-
Reading between the lines. Interest in Howe from others (multiple) I think gone. No interest in Watts Active in chasing Freeman and Bugg Very active in chasing everyone, but every club is Toump all but gone, he wants out but club see potential and would keep him Garland to be announced as staying in coming days.

So you think we should take a punt on a young kid in the draft instead of a proven gun? Also I think you time int eh sport will be short if you walk the next time a draft pick goes wrong, happens all the time to all clubs, that is why taking a punt on a kid when a gun is in the offering would be stupid in the extreme.

Not much of a team left if that is the list management philosophy.

Heard him on the radio last week (can't remember which station) and he said he was wanting to stay in the game, in Victoria, and wanted to be a coach in a fitness type capacity. No mention of which club but he was chatting to a few.

It makes you someone who ignores history. If we don't use the full records then where do you start? The year the name change occurred there were no new teams so all it was was a change from a 'v' to an 'a'. If you use the expansion of the league then we start the count a few years back when GWS started so only the Swans and Hawks have won a flag. You can't pick a date from no where, either the history is there or we re-start the count when ever a new team or name change occurs.

Don't care how the bloke can play, big no, same reason as Milne.

Is the afl competition any more even since the draft & salary cap??
Chris replied to Demonsone's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agreed, but none of that takes away from the fact that players can walk at will and in doing so the clubs have very little power to create or build change in their playing stocks. Get rid of the veto and it would be fine, it works in various codes in the US where free agency is also a player in the market. The players need to accept they cant have both. -

Trade veto abolishment is the big one, the players have too much power at the minute and it undermines a clubs ability to plan for the future. Brisbane is a good case study for this. -

To have any idea you would need to do the same analysis from the introduction of the cap and draft and then do it for the preceding era as well. You also need to remove the last 5 years or so due to the concessions given to the new clubs distorting the way the system works. Bringing in free agency when they did distorted it even further. I also wouldn't look just at premierships won but would look at time in the top 4, you should probably also include time at the bottom (maybe bottom 6?) in the analysis as this would show the ups and downs of the system. Very hard to tell anything from just premierships won. -
Drivers aggressive? My sister is over there and both our observations are that no one in Perth is in a hurry and as such can get no where near the speed limit, they all seem to dawdle along minding their own business but driving interstaters absolutely stark raving mad! Maybe that's it, the aggression on the roads is from the interstate ex pats wanting people to know what the hell they are doing on the road. No wonder people in WA plated cars seem to have no idea when they hit Melbourne traffic.

If the state of the reliability of something is unknown then it can only be described as possibly reliable or possibly unreliable. A better way to say it would be to say the source's reliability is unknown, but I have a hunch it is good. That's it, time to flake for the day

I think Selwood could be a bit of a roughy to end up with us.

Does he wear a leatherjacket?

Billy Gill Colin Eales Austin McCrabb Maurie Herring Fairly sure most of these blokes are dead though, may not be the best pick up. Maybe we need to bring Bate back to the club and scour some Rivers in a Jurrah canoe while someone Bails as we have a captain Cook through the Reads under the Broadbridge and we might have a chance . Knowing our luck all we would find would be a Lamb or a Lyon! Apologies, I just can't help myself sometimes

Sam Fisher?

A clear look at what we HAVE and what we NEED
Chris replied to Young Blood's topic in Melbourne Demons
Below is a table of the spread of games experience by the finalists when they last played vs our best team (as I have described above). The difference in experience is vast and shows that if we can hold the young core together for another 50-100 games then we can start to expect to be up there. Melbourne Hawthorn Freo WC NM 0-50 12 1 1 4 4 51-100 3 4 7 4 3 101-150 3 6 9 10 6 151-200 2 3 0 4 4 200+ 2 8 5 0 5 -
If Demonland ran the club we would have a list of about 6 players playing for us, no coaches, no board, no FD, no admin staff, but would be located in the MCG (it would be easy to fit our 6 players and no staff in!)

He was King of Moomba! Sheesh some people are hard to please.
-
Daisy is a midwife or nurse from memory. Maybe she could help with the pregnant wife's of players and ensure the best start to life for our future father son and mother daughter players, or even father mother son daughter players!

Being King of Moomba really doesn't stack up in that list of acheivments. Almost seems an insult.
