  1. Definitely! He'll need to tag team carefully with Choco, though, I think?
  2. *Fixed Edit: Apologies @WalkingCivilWar; you'd already posted similarly, I see!
  3. (#2's a good riff on my earlier thoughts. But don't forget the King I. and Flinders / Cape Barren I. epaulettes!😄) We've seen how original jumper designs of new clubs have changed over the years, sometimes very significantly. So, don't lose hope; these and variations in time won't surprise. On a related matter, an opportunity was missed to have a first Indigenous strip (though perhaps this would have been a bit awkward given one of the issues with the stadium site...)
  4. (I always feel a bit dirty hijacking serious threads (big welcome, CP(!) by the way), but...) Would be the icing on the PR petit four if that game could also be scheduled in one o' them famous SA wine regions. What's it called again?
  5. Welcome Tassie! And commiserations to all Tasmanian 'Landers who now have an emotional dilemma! 700-odd posts in, barn door, horse, bolted. But... On the jumper, has the opportunity been missed to use the Tassie map as a yoke (à la the Opera-House-d Swans yoke)? And the 'T' shows a lack of confidence in brand recognition. p.s. How are the Flinders, King, Cape Barren and Bruny Islands and Tasman Peninsula folks feeling about the design?
  6. ...and, anyway, it's not that Hobartians are unfamiliar with looming modern man-made structures in the vicinity...
  7. Regardless of who said what when, and also apologies if this has been noted, but I can't imagine the extra 10, 20, 30,000 'members' we're trying to attract will contain many game-attending noise makers. Those types are going to come from that captured and invested early-re-joining 40,000 passionates. And, I'd prefer attention being directed at making game attendance attractive, in ways suggested by some good posts here. [ Step One: GET RID OF THE IMPOSED (and so often unintelligible anyway) BROADCAST NOISE!!! (... he said, noisily...) ]
  8. Home (or is that "home" - it's Collingwood...) final, too!
  9. There's gotta be some sort of prize for that para and 'full stop'! Its certainly a '10' (if I've counted correctly 😉) 👏 Waddayareckon @Demonstone? I arrived as the big fella's nemesis was in turn realising primeministership wasn't meant to be easy, then saw out Bob's heady first couple of terms there.
  10. Nice one, Goffy (Goughy?) Erudite! Putting aside our clean faced (though gloriously topped!) opener, Edmund Barton, the latter, and still pertinent, era was kicked off by none other than our Stanley Melbourne Bruce.
  11. Didn't know where else to put this. Ambush marketing? Deplorable anyway. This time, for the first time, when I clicked on my 'regularly searched' google icon:
  12. 👏 and 🙏, @Tarax Club (p.s. Wish I'd kept my badge. Going rate of $75 now!)
  13. 49,850 at 6 March (thanks @58er and @DeeZone)
  14. Jake Melksham travelled with the team, and active at training. Important to the fabric of the team. And active in the coaches box?
  15. Max accompanying a thrilled mascot kiddie onto the ground? (sorry, Chin!)
  16. Noting earlier discussion on the matter, may I suggest this thread get in early and sponsor* BLAKE HOWES? B and S are his Alpha and Omega. (* = Talk about a lot, occasionally seriously)
  17. I'll come back to the recent foregoing in due course, for my regular dose of amusement and befuddlement, but I must report something I've discovered while researching for a puzzle (not for here; breathe easy!), that might fit the entry criteria of this thread: Australia had never had a Prime Minister with a surname longer than 7 letters (7 of those, and 11 6s, 4 5s, and 5 4s). Until, that is, the last three in a row: TURNBULL, MORRISON, ALBANESE! Curse inflation!
  18. Your secret's safe with this Canberrophile, QD. Eight great years, including the birth of 2 of my kids. I'll be back again at Easter, too, performing at the National Folk Festival: keep an eye out for 'Invy Horn Jam' ☺️ 🎼🎵🎷🎺🪗🥁🪘🪕🌸🌴
  19. The headline to the Club's website article is, 'Sparrow roosts at Melbourne'. Like he did in Perth 🤩
  20. Might I presume you sit on the side of "it is", QD?
  21. From the Club website article: 'With 74 career games since his debut in 2019, the trusted Demon is closing in on the 100-match milestone in season 2024.' That'd be in a (winning) grand final then.
