During the 8(!) months (so far!) of recovery he says, 'I learnt a lot about myself' and it was 'a blessing in disguise'. Both a mature, self-aware, response in itself, and an agent of further maturing. But is there anything to worry about in that recovery time for a PCL/meniscus injury, still under way and, per the earlier post, only in the last few weeks beginning to 'learn to walk again'? Don't expect too much of him in 2026?

Yep - see @spirit of norm smith's post. It surprised me, as he did it in the first game, though then went on to play three(?) more. He kept referring to it as 'a meniscus'. Would there have been a pre-surgery period for swelling to go down? And a long period after, of load off?

I received a 'personal' email from the Club, ostensibly for my 19 years' membership, headed, "This is what 2025 looked like for you ❤️‍🔥" One of the several things listed contained an 'eggcorn' (I've just learnt that word - it comes from someone who misheard that little thing from which big oaks grow! It's 'mondegreen''s cousin) We're familiar with eggcorns on here, I reckon! Under a picture of Steven King, are the words, 'We handed over the reigns'. On reflection, cleverly deliberate by Melbourne Media perhaps? Yeah...nah.

Highlights are SANFL (Glenelg) 'twos' level, I believe. I'm looking forward to the recruiting team's observations on his readiness for and path into our AFL 'ones'. Might be a short-term element of 'project'? But exciting in the bigger picture!
