The Devil Inside replied to The Devil Inside's topic in Melbourne Demons
Tommy Mc is fine, always up for a chat, he is like Hogan, he has a specific preparation. recovery and training regime, he is very particular with twinges etc Not sure whether they would risk Stretch Maybe Bail for Kent, who knows Just remembered Fitzy was a no show as well But as I said before it was a very light session with some guys doing very little, and even those who did everything didn't rate it very high, Crossy came off without even a bead of sweat on him I reckon they will hide somewhere for the session tomorrow to work on stuff for Freo game -

I only put Tyson was missing because Mark Stevens and a cameraman were at training, so I wasn't giving away anything, there is no other open session till Friday, so we will see if he gets named on Thursday, as I said Jetta was missing as well and Roos keeps saying he won't play but Jade Rawlings told me Nev was in his face already to play, as you would expect Michie was in good form at Casey and came in and played his role, if Tyson doesn't get up I wouldn't mind Riley coming in, he is in good form and like Vandenberg, Brayshaw and Michie doesn't mind the bash and crash, he only as to play a role -

I'll put it back on the tracks, mentioned to Jesse Hogan that anytime he feels like taking a pack mark like he did on Friday he should, said he would give it a try, was bouncing around at training today I reckon Roos may try Michie on Fyfe -
Watts is also not a key forward, we have Hogan and Dawes for that job, you can bang on and on, it ain't gonna happen just yet
-
Some on here really do need to listen to Roos presser from yesterday, I have also spoken to Jack, he knows he has lapses, he is trying to eradicate them from his game, did a bit of extra with McCartney today

They were also teaching him to avoid cheap shots as well -
Can you lift the needle from the groove, it seems to be stuck, Watts keeps getting picked by Roos, that will do me

Jeffy always practices his kicking, he got his 2 again on Friday Watts was being worked over by Ben Mathews with McCartney talking to him constantly No Roos is back to his practice of last year, in pulling players aside during sessions to have a chat, noticed him do it with HL and Dunn -

I forgot to mention, looking at the pics reminded me, Roos took a backseat today, including leaving the field to talk to the camera guys and left the session to Goodwin -

As I said it was a very light session, Michie was his usual self, doing everything with a minimum of fuss, complimented him on his game, said he enjoyed it McCartney was very vocal during the drill with Watts encouraging, cajoling etc, I have put a pic on Twitter -

I didn't bother asking, you never get the truth during the season, he hardly missed a pre season session, so perhaps swimming and a bit of physio on a light day is better -
A coupe missing today Tyson and Jetta, but also a few did very little, Grimes, Toumpas, McKenzie, Stretch, Gawn, Riley, Salem, Terlich, Spencer, Matt Jones, probably some others, ask ... Howe didn't do the whole session Joked with Jade Rawlings that Nev Jetta would still want to play, he agreed Drills were the usual ball movement , with more and then lless defenders, not split into any groups Complimented Nathan Jones on his checkside pass to Hogan, said it was a fluke Jesse Hogan again spent extra time on goal kicking, with vandenBerg and Newton Watts spent a bit of time with Brendan McCartney and Ben Mathews on a tackling drill Any questions feel free, few pics on Twitter Demonpk

Dees v Dockers - Round 5
The Devil Inside replied to The Song Formerly Known As's topic in Melbourne Demons
I love a good laugh before bedtime, thank you, Watts cool head in picking out Vandenberg for his goal is one of the many reasons he is in the team -
Dees v Dockers - Round 5
The Devil Inside replied to The Song Formerly Known As's topic in Melbourne Demons
Toumpas was ok, as you didn't see him against Footscray you are going on people's opinions and the general consensus was ok not immediate recall Minson needed a wake up call and he certainly performed for Footscray as did Goodes who is also trying to force his way back in Spencer has been in the best six now for about 4 weeks including the practice games, so following your theory he should get a call up -
Me, I don't care if Roos picks Spencer, if he does I know the big Pencil will run himself into the ground for the team, he has his shortcomings but not giving it everything he has got isn't one of them, and that is part of the mantra now, all you have to do is play your role for 4 quarters

They go into every game with a plan, it's whether they can execute it successfully that is the issue

Footscray v Casey Scorpions - Round 2, 2015
The Devil Inside replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Spencer provided a contest every chance he got, Max didn't, with his height I would be very surprised if Max didn't get some hit outs, he was ordinary for the rest of the game, when he went forward it was like having a tall statue in the 50, Spencer assisted with at least two goals by throwing his body on the line -
Someone at the MCC still likes the Dees.

Boys and girls that will be the colours displayed at the G when we play Sydney on the Saturday night, for some reason it doesn't work so well in daylight, part of the matchday experience -
Those calling for Gawn to combat Sandilands really needed to be at Whitten Oval yesterday, unfortunately big Maxy is not in form, he was very ordinary
-
The guy should have no complaints at all, Al Clarkson let him live

Footscray v Casey Scorpions - Round 2, 2015
The Devil Inside replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Gawn....what game were you watching wayne...he was ordinary, my lady even commented for a guy his size he should be imposing himself on the game at VFL level Toumpas...no, some really nice things, but still some unforced errors Matt Jones was Matt Jones Riley - if we want another 'animal' (said in the nicest way) against Freo, then yes Pig If Jetta is out, yes I agree Grimes For those asking about Harmes, think he along with King is the Roos project player, every time I see him he gets better, they are building him slowly, did some good stuff again today Fitzy is doing ok for somebody who has had his 3rd game in defence, gets better each game Stretch will be a player -
I haven't got much to add about the game apart from that I enjoyed it thoroughly,....just thought I would add this cherry on top Was sitting on top deck of Ponsford and went for break at half time, as I was coming back up the steps was nearly bowled over by this big guy bounding down the steps He apologised, I recognised him and he recognised me, I asked him how he was going and he gave me big smile and said he was great, looked healthy and happy Name - Christian Petracca

GAME DAY - Anzac Eve Game vs Tigers
The Devil Inside replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
You must have never watched the tv coverage, they do a respectful job of covering the ceremonies before the game, but the ads and the commentators do the comparison to death unfortunately -

Then I suggest you don't watch 7's coverage of either tonight or tomorrow
