  1. Oh my.........last thing I read tonight....priceless.....I assume if Eade gets the bullet from the Suns you will be on the plane to the Gold Coast to state your case Pity you weren't there to listen to the huddle at 1/4 and 3/4 time
  2. I get to meet and interact with the players on other occasions besides training, they all know I post on here, they like to get their views across so use me, they also know they can't be controversial either. I also get told if I can't post something they told me. I have known Nate Jones, Russian, Dunny, Col Garland, Nev Jetta, Jack Watts and a few others for quite a few years now and because the newer players see them talking to me, they know I can be 'trusted', quite easy really. I was interested in the Vandenberg story so made a point of having a couple of chats with him, having lived in the ACT and my lady coming from a similar small country town in NSW to Tathra had quite a lot of common ground, he also enjoyed the fact I made a point of wearing a shirt with NSW on it and said it was to honour his effort against Richmond
  3. Daniel Cross - Albury NSW Dean Terlich - Henty NSW Max King - Wagga NSW Aiden Riley -- Wollongong NSW Aaron Vandenberg -WA/Tathra NSW/Ainslie ACT
  4. "We all have differing opinions, and sometimes we gets things right, and sometimes we get things wrong. But in baseball terms, he's batting .001" I tried baseball but I didn't like it, everytime I swung the racquet, I fell off the horse
  5. ......what's this an authoritative tone No it's not, I have had the temerity to disagree with the Mo-ster again, I am still waiting for his definition of how a player impacts a game of AFL, I would try it as I am the authority on things like that, but I asked first
  6. That's right Wayne Carey, that well known hooker from Wagga and Paul Kelly the lock
  7. I can actually hold conversations, not just hide behind a keyboard, can offer you some help, advice or counselling if you need it, just in case you want to talk to one of the players Said before don't type everything I am told, had a real good conversation with Brendan McCartney the other day, most of which I haven't passed on They must be polite, otherwise two of them wouldn't have distracted me whilst Max Gawn stole my scooter the other week. gee boys will be boys Back on topic, Aaron appreciated the joke, had a couple of good chats to him about the journey from NEAFL to AFL, the players actually appreciate the interest, rather than just demanding a selfie, he doesn't mind identifyiing with NSW Said before if you don't like what I type, don't read it, I think I can handle the rejection
  8. Again, can't back up your statement, you and others do bag, you also without viewing a game or training make sweeping statements and honest assessments, and they all tend to be along the same theme I offered an opinion before the season started on those three players, I am willing to say it is wrong now, in a pleasing way, I am overjoyed that Gus Brayshaw has also proved me completely and utterly wrong when I said he wasn't ready Jack Grimes for one has gone back to Casey and worked his arse off to get back in form and improve the areas he was lacking, hopefully if he gets a game on the weekend he will shut up a few posters on here
  9. It is not undying loyalty chap, it is called supporting your team, every player who runs out gives it the best they have got, I understand that some don't have great skills, but I refuse to bag them, only somebody who is petty will do that From pre season training, Grimes, Matt Jones and McKenzie were in the best 22 but they have now been passed by other players at the moment, it is up to them to improve the areas that have been identified by the coaches that will enable them to challenge for a spot in the 22 again, if they don't we know what will happen at the end of the season It is not my understanding that is in question chap, you are one for making big statements and not backing them up, so again I ask how does a player impact at AFL level, is it in your opinion as simple as getting a lot of possessions or kicking goals, let's see what you mean
  10. Same as on here, just because a poster continually posts, it doesn't necessarily mean that what they post is correct or has any relevance, you can interpret Plapp's comments whatever way you want, I assume you are going to sulk if either of Riley or Spencer get a game on the weekend So how do you define the ability to impact an AFL game?
  11. I just don't rate him, seen him lose every goal kicking comp with Nathan Jones at training since he was drafted
  12. Steady, Jordie Mc led the AFL tackling a couple of years ago, and Nev Jetta and Dawes are ferocious as well, I told Aaron today the next big tackle on Sunday I want the guy into the seats not just over the line, wore a NSW shirt in his honour today which he found hilarious
  13. Does everybody realise that the Freo game will be Watts' 100th, (that's unless Frosty Demon nobbles him between now and Sunday) edit added Demon in case rumour of issue between Sam Frost and Watts started
  14. I'm going to training on Friday, if you are not there I will make sure I pass on your instructions to Roosy and Justin Plapp (who disagrees with your assessment of Riley and Spencer by the way, so he must be wrong) And following your logic, even though I think Toump will eventually be a player, at the moment he is not the player who gives us an opportunity to win, Plapp agrees with me again, so he is wrong again
  15. One of the barely raised a sweat brigade, did a few laps and went indoors
  16. Not guilty your honour, that was Newton, it was a left foot kick
  17. Morton is playing with Coburg in the VFL and has been in the best Col Sylvia for me sums up the last few years at Melbourne, a few moments of magic and then some serious hair tearing and gnashing of teeth, wonder if Richard Tambling will give him a ring to compare notes,
  18. Why? Riley is called Pig Dog for a reason, he is very good at extracting the ball from stoppages Michie a one pacer? and this assumption is based on?
  19. All through the pre season the whole squad had tackling and wrestling sessions, you don't do it vigorously during the season, we have some players who will hurt their team mates, think McCartney has decided to step in with Watts
  20. Forgot Michie, he is another one who has had a great pre season, he is feeling really good and fit, expect him to be even better this week, if he was any more laidback off the field he would be asleep
