Some must drink a lot when posting on here, first of all we have Leuie from Brisbane and then Vickery from Richmond, we have a really good young ruck in King, another pre season into him and he will have a bit more size, Spencer has next year on his contract as well, so he will be playing next year as well, Roos gave it to him, I am so glad nobody on here has any say in the trading or delisting etc

Totally agree, although we are slowly getting better at fighting back -
They are still handing out those Paleo bars after training and a couple of the players have mentioned they are still having the eggs/bacon/sausage so assume diet is still the 'flavour' of the day
-
I assume you are talking about the phone
-
I knew we would get some ridiculous topics after a loss, congratulations, this weeks winner, every player I have spoken to has said they are fitter and stronger, maybe we could find a better diet for their minds, coz that is where the problems are at the moment
-
Nah ruck Redleg, but then they realised he is very good as a forward, when the rucks work at training, he is getting stronger, doesn't get thrown aside as often now As for Harmes, we won't have to trade or draft a big bodied midfielder if we have spent two years building one from scratch, he is going to be a player, as long as he sticks to what he is doing now

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 6
The Devil Inside replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I love this phrase, Vandenberg got his chance, took it, and at the moment is in the team, all the ones you mentioned above did the same, we had one last year who came in as a mature recruit and played really well for the first couple of games and was enthused to the hills on here, remind me where he is now? Hopefullly Vanders can maintain his form and stay in the 22 -

It is also a reflectiojn that he is not an 18yr old kid, has a big mature body, and has been playing in the NEAFL for the last couple of years against the reserves from the Swans, Giants, Suns and Lions, so has seen what it takes to be on an AFL list -
He is a developing player, they are trying to build his body, as most ruckman have to play forward these days, getting him to do that as well, he enjoys it, never misses a set shot, has a great natural leap, he is probably another year away from having the size to compete in the ruck in the seniors in the VFL

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 6
The Devil Inside replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Do you know, I am reading this at 2.28am in the morning coz I can't sleep, had to read it twice to make sure my old fuddled brain had got it This post is excellent, never a truer word said. I spoke to a guy who is a Demons Supporter from overseas, he manages to get to maybe one game a year, he said he reads this board to keep up with the news, won't post.....reason the negativity and constant denigration of the players, his comment "are these people really supporters?" -

Jesse Hogan loves living in Melbourne, take my word for it, even though parents are there, he is no fan of Perth As for Stretch, the type of player to come up to the level he is playing at Everybody need to calm down about Spencer, he is one who has developed under the new regime -

He usually tells me to do something involving sex and travel (politely of course, for anybody from the Club reading this) when I wind him up, he did the whole session, he's fine. He would have preferred the Premiership but he is looking forward to the Cup Final ANB is like Brayshaw just looks a footballer, the other one I hope stays on the list is King, if they can build him into a ruckman, his foot skills are excellent -

Viney was flying around the oval doing laps, don't think he would reappear in VFL, think they just want the extra week to get him back up again -

No and as per usual, some of the stuff he does makes you wish we would see more of it in games As I said only thing I could probably be sure about is Dawes will be back, (according to him) -
Missing in action, Frost, Petracca, Kent, Trengove. Viney did rehab, spoke to Dave Misson probably another week. Had a good chat to Nev Jetta, another week at least, in the hands of the doctors, he did the full session, had to wear the orange vest (no tackling), but being Nev wore it as a neck scarf. Dawes trained strongly, said he was right to go. McCartney said "poor pressure, selfish footy, Fremantle players allowed to do as they pleased" as he walked past me, obviously from the review. The drills were again about stoppages and ball movement, again with more and less defenders. Both Pedersen and Dawes joined in the ruck work with Stafford today. Spoke to Jack Fitzpatrick, embracing the role as a FB, enjoying it, still feels the urge to go on the lead now and again, said he still has long way to go and has lots to still learn. ANB again pulled up really well from his first senior VFL game, looking forward to the weekend to improve on last week. No signs whatsoever of breaking into any recognisable team during the drills, all mixed up, and when they broke into forward/mids/defence at the end, no surprises, everyone where they should be.....(McKenzie again with the backs). Any questions feel free. Got a great picture which will be on Twitter of a new angle on the Jones/Brayshaw goal kicking comp, will be on Twitter Demonpk

A lot of the staff I interact with have stayed the same, PJ trimmed at the top, the staff have always been a good team and helped the club drag itself back from the edge
-
It depends on how he goes this week, he was fine at training last week, I had a really good chat to him, did most of the pre season so fitness not the issue, just confidence in the leg, he was bouncing around and said there is no problem
-
Here we go again, Dixon came back in against Brisbane, their defence is floundering, let's see him do it for a couple of weeks before we start salivating, he wasn't exactly in form for the previous weeks
-
Gee only nine pages, Tyson has gone from next superstar to dud, Jones from A to B grade, Van Demon/Newton wrong choices etc etc....gee a week is sure a long time in footy We were competitive for 3 quarters against the in form midfield in the comp, we had a shocker in the 4th Take home the positives, Garlett, Grimes on Ballantyne, Brayshaw, Tommy Mc

And was injured for nearly twelve months, he has only played 30 odd games, if he was in his fourth year he would be around 80, get your facts right before you correct someone else
