My 3 word player analysis V The Dockers
The Devil Inside replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
No he didn't -
Nev got a decent belt from Dawes at training post Xmas, then he has had a couple of head knocks, he has only really failed the concussion test once, but they are concerned and rightly so, they are monitoring on a daily basis, including I believe a couple of scans, with the Roh Bail and Viney issues in the past, they have a good handle on it now, they sat him down because of the prior head knock last game
-
Grimes was really good today against Ballantyne, the guy in the 31 shirt right?
-
Viney told me 1 week at training as well, didn't look hampered at all in his running, have a look at the pic on my twitter
-
We got smashed in the midfield, simple Pedersen, Garlett, McDonald and Grimes (who blanketed Ballantyne) and Brayshaw all gave a yelp all game, the 4th quarter can be added to the 2 against GWS

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 5
The Devil Inside replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
He was in the hands of the physios a couple at times at training, still finished the session strongly, but obviously overnight it has gone bad again, not worth the risk -

The Devil Inside replied to The Devil Inside's topic in Melbourne Demons
Young King is developing nicely, and they are making sure he can play forward as well, kicked about 6 or 7 goals in the practice games and the 2 Development matches he has played in Spencer may have been around for ever but he is still only 25 -

No, but Anderson Hill next to the Botanic Gardens is his new training track, walking up and down that Michie was fine -

They have been doing this drill for about a month now, I only saw Dawes getting restrapped, must have been on opposite side at the time, Tyson was fine I asked, he did the whole session, would have thought if there was an issue he wouldn't have Why not? She'll be at the G as well, Jeffy being the new favourite -

The Devil Inside replied to The Devil Inside's topic in Melbourne Demons
They have really been working with them over the pre season on the very thing, Jamar hasn't been that bad when resting forward and Spencer has been getting better at it for Casey, even had 2 goal assists on Sunday, one from a strong mark in the 50 -

As I put above, tried to glean who it was, got straight bat from both Spencer and Pedo, nothing for Pig and missed Jordie, asked a couple of others, nada, wouldn't expect anything less Personally whatever way the FD go they will be doing it for a reason, I am not bothered, I know from the last couple of weeks, the 22 we send out will go out determined to play the same brand of aggressive footy coz it works, and even though everybody tends to denigrate the 4, at least all 4 are pretty agressivve in their game -

The Devil Inside replied to The Devil Inside's topic in Melbourne Demons
I tried my best with quite a few to see which way we were going to go, and got a straight bat from everybody, loved it, no idea What if Spencer does play, he has the tank to run around all day with Sandilands, he just has to compete, which he is capable of, even Sandilands would get a bit tired with over 100k bashing into him the whole game Same with McKenzie, if he gets a role, would give it everything he had -

Nev told Jade Rawlings he was right to go this weekend on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday and Thursday, club is being ultra cautious, exactly the same as they did with Roh Bail, Nev just has to wear it, but understands -
Most of the squad trained, including Viney who did a bit of rehab running and drills with Nev Jetta, Sam Frost appeared on the Trengove trolley, only missing Petracca, Trengove, Kent Nev Jetta is totally [censored] off he can't get a crack at Ballantyne The drills were as per the norm now, lots of ball movement, with more or less defenders, then a few stoppage drills where tackling was encouraged At the end Watts did a bit more tackling practice When rucks trained separately with Stafford, it was only the recognized rucks, Jamar, Spencer, Gawn, Fitzpatrick and King Towards the end squad was split into groups, McKenzie was with the backs, as was Hunt, the rest as it says on the tin Tyson trained strongly, Dawes had a bit of running repairs done with physios, but finished strongly also McCartney didn't seem to be there today I asked Ben Mathews how many players would we put on Fyfe, answer 18 For those who like the look of him, ANB has pulled up really well from his first two runs, looking forward to Sunday Any questions, feel free, pics on Twitter Demonpk soon

The embodiment of the gentle caring souls that inhabit Demonland is certainly on show in this topic Personally I find some of the comments pathetic, some really do need to grow up -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 5
The Devil Inside replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
C'mon Nash, it's Demonland, why are you even surprised, McKenzie did a good job on Brett Goodes,(I know he is not a Fyfe or Hill, but he was influencing the game) in the second half last week, if Roos just wants a shut down player, Jordie may get a gig -

It was on the Marngrook footy show, I watch that instead of the other drivel, he was interviewed in Alice Springs, playing with the NT Thunder in NEAFL and working at a college. Also it was stated that MFC is still supporting him, and providing advice on diet and training regimen (this was interviewer who said that not Dom) I put this at the time, because Dom wasn't initiated, he was regarded as a child still, he needed to go home and reconnect with his people, that done, and bravo for the club for sticking by him, he wants another crack, when he left, the club stated he would be welcomed back- 268 replies
