  1. I was another one to be underwhelmed by his recruitment. Still think he's quite a limited player, but he's a hard little bastard and maybe the opportunity afforded to him, and the faith shown in him, by the MFC will be what he needs to kick start a long AFL career. A good debut anyway.
  2. Just hasn't been picked. Even Terlich was in the squads, so indicates he's currently nearly the last in line to be picked on our entire list. Is that an unbelievable surprise? He's been serviceable without showing a great deal so far I'd have thought. People bring up a couple of opportunistic goals he kicked against Geelong but he was never noted as a goalkicker in his junior days and was recruited as an inside mid. Apart from that, I didn't think he was great in the AFL and even VFL games I saw.
  3. Rigoni didn't play for another club before us did he?
  4. I'd be staggered if they didn't. Would seem counter-productive to give them the weekend off.
  5. Sounds like what I do on the dunny upon waking up after a big night
  6. Yep, no doubt. Him or O'Meara, who when he can get himself on the park is outstanding.
  7. Key forwards have to be exceptional to win it. Hogan had one of the best first seasons for a key forward in the past 30 years and was still in a two-horse race where arguments were made for either him or Cripps. Hogan is the only player ever to win the award while playing as a key forward. Nick Holland, Kosi and Riewoldt also won it but played wing/half back the years they did so. Think Oliver, Petracca or Parish more likely, or as you said Weitering who'll see a lot of the footy!
  8. Possibly, but he said in the interview that someone on twitter sent the stat to him last night
  9. I hope it's not. As much as I think he maybe should have shown Ox a little more respect, it's a breath of fresh air having players answering questions honestly rather than the stock-standard, clichéd, media-trained drivel most of them come out with.
  10. List Management. ANB and Newton mixed in some good games, not great, with poor ones. Can't see either of them ever being more than fringe players from what they've shown so far in comparison to others on our list.
  11. This is your favourite topic which you talk about ad nauseum, often nonsensically. What does it mean in practical terms though? What are some examples of things you think we should be doing that we currently don't, to support your points above? Real-life examples, not just incoherent bluster please.
  12. Steve interested to know what you're basing this on as he's never demonstrated this? Collingwood supporters used to tear their hair out over his disposal.
  13. I'd prefer Toumpas to be honest, still think he's got more upside. Kennedy was poor today but apart from that I've seen enough of him to confidently predict he won't become anything more than a fringe player. Hope to be proven wrong.
  14. So your answer to my question is yes. Hard for them to offer better picks than their first rounders. They were never going to give up a star for a player who badly wanted to come home. Much the same as we wouldn't offer one of ours to get Prestia if it comes to it.
  15. Didn't they offer this year's and next year's 1st round picks? That's more than fair.
  16. Just seemed an odd thing to say in a thread that hasn't been posted in for 10 days. Has he seen him at training, watched some of his underage footy or just watched his highlights?
