  1. I was having a think about this situation this morning and I realised that it is generally the same problems with each loss! That to me says that we are inconsistent with the plan. We used to find new ways to lose every week and not be able to know what to try and fix first!
  2. Just had to watch the vision. Same problems as against essenscum and st kilda. Poor decision making bad kicking. It falls apart pretty badly. We need the second ruck. Max was playing like an extra tall midfielder and getting the ball at ground level. Max can get forward and really needs Spencil to bash and crash ATM. Need a KPB. Tom Mc Donald is playing like a Jared Rivers. He was no where near Dixon when he needed to be. I would have played Dunn on him. Need another tall forward. Really missed Pedo. Could have freed up Gawn. Im actually hoping that the mindset against Hawthorn will be sharper and that some tactics are employed to restrict some of their players influence. I really struggle with this "team defence" BS. Is that code for Jetta plays tall, small, medium and everyone else watches???
  3. I think that we need to have bigger bodies/experience against the hawks. Trenners in, Dunn in, Grimes In
  4. Yes, Lets get Lennon and McCartney together!
  5. The pocket that i refer to as"the jack watts pocket!"
  6. Very similar to the nth game. A bit more composure and less fumbling and it might have been different. Why were our players slipping over so much?
  7. If he can lead away from jesse, i am all for it! Can anyone offer an opinion on his nous as a forward? I realise that its early days
  8. I agree buck. Its inexperience that is costing us and errors in pressure situations. I have watched a few of our oppositions games on night shifts and st kilda's game against hawthorn reminded me of our side. We need the games together to build and the team to gel. At least owen is helping us to keep Jesse!
  9. I dont usually listen to KB but his regulars seem to be all about their own egos rather than any real analysis or opinion. Almost redneck in its style?
  10. I heard the conversation! Fiona also tried in vain to set him straight. I was getting agitated by this flogs attitude and he topped it off by trying the stereotype something on the sleeves of your jackets! He was too stupid to get the slur right! It wasnt until after that interview that I heard his name. Brian Waldron, the guy who was responsible for melbourne storms salary cap breaches and lost premierships? If i could have gotten on air I would have mentioned a passage from the bible, which I believe is somewhere towards the back that states "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". I would just leave him to consider that. What a [censored] trying to hang Viney.
  11. In light of the current statements coming from the coach and the ceo, we can be negative and not turn up. Thus confirming what the club, players and football universe thinks of us. OR we can be positive and turn up proving that we exist. Its this "Melbourne supporters dont care" [censored] that gets to me.
  12. I appreciate that OD but I think it's less about football and more about us. I think that we need to catch up rather than stress about the crap. I know that sounds weird but I have been through a lot of mental torture!
  13. Positives. Brayshaw Vanders Hogan Gawn Vince Too many players not up to it. I would like to see frost play as a tall mid and Fitz To come in for Dunn. Dunn to go in the midfield rotation as a big bodied mid swapping Off the HFF.Salem HBF,Kent HFF, Petracca HFF. Need everyone fit. Dawes to go. Waiting to see What happens with Howes and garland. Need a KPF to take the heat of Hogan
  14. Hi All, A while ago I posted about starting an MFC supporter group out of Wangaratta. Unfortunately I went to the game yesterday. I agree with a lot of the opinions expressed about the players, the club and our supporters. My first comment to my wife upon leaving the g was "I don't think that I want to go to the GWS game. I am now realising that as a long suffering Melbourne supporter that I now feel numb as well as invisible. I have followed Melbourne since I was born in 1970. I could have jumped ship at school in the late 70's and 80's if I was weak. At least back then we never had TV coverage of our poor team! Like others here I have enlisted my children. My daughter was born in Nov 2000 and I was secure that her childhood would be filled with many Melbourne victories, perhaps we would see our first flag together! We all know how the next 15 years have played out. The thing is that the constant has always been us, the supporters. Personally I would not begrudge anyone who says " I've had enough". Admid all the hurt and anger, what sane person would torture themselves like we do? I laugh we I hear essendon, Carlton and others supporters [censored] and moan about how tough things are for them!! They have had about 5mins of pain compared to our journey. Most of us are paid up members until the end of the GWS game. Others can choose to attend, our children don't get a choice, Its fathers day! What I m suggesting is that we should make this game about us, the supporters, the fathers the mothers and the kids. I want to see the real Melbourne not a throw away line like "we are Melbourne" I think that everyone needs a time out, the players and the club can see the real Melbourne and so can those non Melbourne fwits that will be suggesting that we have all gone skiing.I hate that [censored] but I hate being invisible and irrelevant more. Just an idea as its a long long preseason for us and the players.
  15. sorry dont know how to do this. Its in the herald sun footy section by the courier mail
  16. Just read an article that Prestia is not leaving the suns before his contract expires at the end of 2016
  17. I celebrate every essendon and carlton loss. Last week was a rare perfect weekend for me!
  18. I guess I am looking at mids who are currently better as opposed to potentially better I would love to say that our kids could be our best 4 but I would love it if they had 4 better! Just realised that Chunky and Vince need them fast given their advancing years
  19. Hi all, Jeezus it is difficult supporting the Dees! Like a lot of people I was kid at school in the 70's and 80's and I didnt drop the Dees. This year after the last 10 years I can honestly say that I waivered, my club survey wouldnt please those who read it. Despite the ups and many downs since Roos started, I can see that we have a group up forward and back and big Max. We just need to get our best 4 mids now. We need them to be better than our current ones. The first quarter today illustrates how desperately we need them and the second and third quarters showed how much we could improve with our best mids yet to be added to the team.
  20. would Pedersen have been better than tmac/dunn on cloke? He was on fire anyway, but is he the best option for players like cloke and hawkins? It is a pity he is out but will he be retained?
