Trade Targets
Potentially I think from 2027, but more the reason to trade them for ready made players perhaps… just depends who is available. My feeling is we have already invested heavily in the draft and the time is now to go for specific players to fill needs. We need to go again for another flag while we have Trac, Clarry, Lever over the next 3-4 years.

I hope Miles Bergman is on our radar if Farrell is re-signing. Hes a solid half-back/wingman and would add depth in our 24/25/26 year old age gap we have at the moment.

2025 MFC Injury List
He had been one of the best players in the VFL two years in a row, so deserved another crack. Unfortunately his body just keeps breaking down while on our list.

Guest appearances on the cooking show.... good idea

Trade Targets
2026 first round and 2027 first round, plus all the other picks. We need to get creative this year and next and go hard at ready made players who can impact.

Trade Targets
He spoke to Grundy, but he isn't involved in the actual recruitment process of identifying players. You must have misunderstood what I mean, I don't mean Gawn and Trac should be looking for trade targets, that's just ridiculous. Just that if there is a stigma about the club with potential targets then the leaders should be involved.

Trade Targets
I think the club need to get guys like Trac and Gawn involved in discussions with players, like Geelong have done in the past. Only way to get past these issues are for them to give their opinions to incoming players and why they think it will be great place to play.

2025 MFC Injury List
I think Laurie is contracted for another season, so I'm guessing he will be gone end of 2026 if we don't see big improvements. McAdam also has another year so I guess we will see how that plays out. The club will be desperate for Kozzy to stay, so I guess we will see. Campbell you could probably give another 1 year, basement bargain contract to as depth but we need to start scouring for longer term ruck options.

2025 MFC Injury List
There will be quite a few moved on at seasons end I think, will be the biggest list re-set we've had in a while. Hore, Melksham, McDonald, Billings, Verrall, Woewodin & Fullarton I think should all be either retired/delisted at a minimum. We then need to be ultra aggressive on the trade/free agency table to replenish our list. Have heard us linked to Oscar Allen and Kane Farrell, that would be a great start but we are going to need a lot more!

Media Madness
You have nailed it. I used to enjoy watching some of the footy shows, now I don’t watch or listen to anything. Why would I waste my time with that rubbish.

Welcome to Demonland: Xavier Lindsay
I know the discussion around trading our first pick to the Bombers will come up, but even if it is a high pick I’m still comfortable with it. I genuinely believe he’s been the best performed draftee so far the first two rounds. He’s a gun player and probably could’ve been a top 5 pick in a normal draft year.

PODCAST: Rd 02 vs North Melbourne
I'm with @binman in that I can see what we are trying to do, the issue is we can't execute yet and as he has banged on about it is the lack of foot skills from our best players. I do think Goody and the coaches need to have a good look at the roles they are giving certain players and who has the smarts and skills to execute it.

CASEY: Rd 01 vs North Melbourne
I agree with this. Has never got a good run at it and has been the sub many times. We did the same with Bedford and Jordon, now neither are world beaters but should they have be in our side over others? Perhaps.

POSTGAME: Rd 02 vs North Melbourne
100% agree and the coaches need to work out how to structure our side to ensure this happens less. Oliver is still a gun at getting the ball and I love him in the middle so he stays. Viney is in my opinion our worst field kick. He isn't a long kick and he also isn't accurate. He should be instructed to handball off at every possible chance. I think we should limit his time through the midfield and use him more as a pressure small forward a bit like Blake Hardwick. Trac should be a 50/50 mid forward and I think Langford can wax on and off with him, starting this week v the Suns.

Time to go Goody?
Are you talking about next week? Kentfield is still recovering from pneumonia, he probably won’t play a game for another month or so

Just Kick the [censored] Thing!
Agree with that. I was referring to our ball movement was better than it was last year, not about our ability to close out close games.

Wasn’t it a football action though Craig? Like your defender

TRAINING: Saturday 22nd March 2025
Good that he will get a full run in the midfield for Casey tomorrow. His position is a bit more difficult than Lindsay, as he’s competing with Trac, Oliver and Viney…

NON-MFC: Round 02
The umpiring was pathetic, but not surprising. Without a doubt that helped Collingwood get the result, given they won by 6 points. Expecting the AFL to put their heads in the sand, but really they should come out and say we are reviewing it closely and will be working with the umpires to see how we can improve. Whenever we have number 22 umpiring I just know it’s going to be a bad day…
