  1. If he does want out we would be crazy not to go for him... even though he has had kicking issues he would make us so much more dangerous down forward and allow JVR and Jeffo to take the 2nd/3rd key talls. We could have McKay, JVR and Jeffo as key talls next year. Move Petty back with Turner and then the third spot up for grabs between May, Lever and Adams.
  2. I know we aren't going well atm, but I think we should all lay off Caleb Windsor. He's a 2nd year player who was fantastic last year and is struggling a little his second year.... very common occurence.
  3. Wonder if they will pull the trigger and play Verrall as a ruck/forward and hope for the best.... Given where our season is at I wouldn't be opposed to it.
  4. Perhaps it wasn't available at the time but things changed?
  5. 100% agree mate, both JVR and Jeffo need to play out the rest of the year. What those numbers tell me is JVR doesn't get mobile enough and on the end of lead up possessions, but is an elite finisher when he gets it. That may be partly because of how we've asked him to play, but I don't think he has natural forward craft unlike Jeffo who absolutely has it, but doesn't quite have the body yet.
  6. If you look at JVRs numbers against someone like Curnow at the same age they are also very similar from memory. These things aren't linear anyway. Last year some media pundits ranked Windsor in the top 3 from the draft, this year he's struggled a bit but probably due to the interrupted pre season. I think that draft will be extremely strong, as will last years also. The one that is probably the most worrying is Kolt, but again he also had a highly interrupted pre season.
  7. I'm all for it if it helps get the place funded! We can have a 7-eleven setup right out front.
  8. Searing kicks... I'm a Melbourne supporter, can someone please explain to me what these are?
  9. Perth sports journo. Probably their biggest there now given Basil is off doing other things.
  10. Last I checked his family net worth was $1.95b.... he could fund the whole thing and still have a small amount of $1.85b leftover
  11. C'mon man you can't compare Trac and Oliver constantly turning it over to an 18yo string bean kpf/ruck playing his first game of VFL against men.
  12. The same rules don't apply to the Northern states unfortunately. Agree with David Rodan though, no way his son should be eligible to Essendon!
  13. I want to see the following side for the Gold Coast game (assuming fitness). Ins: Jefferson, Sestan & Tholstrup Outs: Melksham, Salem & Sparrow B: Bowey May McVee HB: Howes Turner Lever C: Windsor Oliver Lindsay HF: Chandler Petty Petracca F: Pickett Jefferson Fritsch R: Gawn Langford Rivers Int: van Rooyen Langdon Sestan Tholstrup Sub: Viney I know this won't happen, but I want to see Goodwin get some gonads and make some tough decision. I also wouldn't be opposed to Adams playing ahead of Lever and May at some point. If Viney does play a full game, GET HIM OUT OF THE MIDFIELD!! Play Trent as the primary mid and maybe give Viney 20% of CBAs max.
  14. Haha I saw that! Gave me a good laugh Wonder who Clam is on here!
  15. I think it's time to pull the trigger on Melksham and swap him for Jeffo for the rest of the year. Nothing against Melksham, it's just probably his last year and it's time to give Jeffo an extended run. There's going to be games where he gets killed by the best defenders, but it's the only way he will learn now. I think the Kolt potentially should also play out the season and we could also have a look at Sestan at half back as well, especially if McVee is suspended. If Gawn is suspended maybe we play Verrall, but I think at this stage I'd rather he continue playing at Casey to get his confidence up. He will get monstered at AFL level.
  16. We must be the dumbest and most undisciplined side in the competition. Bad free kick but suck it up Viney, you're a senior F'ing player!
  17. I meant 3 and above sorry... anyway my point is not in relation to what a bag is.
  18. These days anything over 3 is a bag in my mind. Has kicked 5, 3, 3, 3 & 4 in 5 of their games this year. I'm also not advocating to go for him btw, just making a point about how many small/mid sized forwards the Giants have on their list.
  19. Yes he is
  20. I think there will be a bit of a shift in our list this off season, depending on the players we can bring in. I reckon we may only take two kids at the draft (K White and T Sinnema) and we will look at ready made players to trade in. I think there's a chance the following are traded/delisted/retire end of the year: Marty Hore (r) Tom McDonald Jake Melksham Tom Fullarton Jack Billings Taj Woewodin Jai Culley (r) Jack Henderson (r) McDonald or Melksham may get a late 1 year contract dependant on the trade situation. I also think there's a chance we keep on of Henderson or Culley and at this stage I would have Culley ahead. In regards to players to bring in we have been linked to the following so far: Luke Jackson (we can all dream) Miles Bergman - has a prior relationship with Nathan Bassett so maybe that could get it done for us? Would add to our best 23 and would release Windsor back to the wing. Ollie Lord - have heard we have been linked to him and I think he would be an upgrade on Fullarton. If we got Jackson I reckon we would abandon this one. Wade Derksen - obviously went after him last year and he has been even better this year playing down back. Could be a TMac replacement. James Worpel - who knows if this will eventuate but would add to our midfield depth though not a world beater There's obviously going to others that pop up and one thing I would like us to do is go out and find another high level small/medium forward. GWS have a ton of them and also have Nathan Wardius kicking absolute bags in the VFL (22 goals from 10 games this year).
  21. I think Turner is a better forward, however he is also a gun defender and is really settled. Leave it as it is for the remainder of the year. If we can find a more reliable KPF next season then Petty and Turner could both be down back.
  22. Just passing on what I'm told and he absolutely has good contacts in Perth. Obviously it may change, but I think as it stands Freo won't agree to trade him and would rather move on Darcy if there's a taker. Most likely Geelong given their constant ruck issues.
  23. I'm mates with Ryan Daniels and he believes Jackson won't be leaving Freo. He thinks they will be trading Darcy....
  24. Thank you... wish people would do their research before posting 😆
  25. 2 first and a 2nd round is pretty good. You wouldn't get anymore than that. I would do that deal in a heartbeat personally.
