is there a general thread on trade rumours/deals involving non MFC clubs? Im wondering where Daniher might go?

Well you asked to list what ways he is a good leader and I gave them. any response to my points? I reckon he could be viewed as prickly and thats ok - he sets extremely high standards for himself and everyone else. if someone didnt meet them or was messing around, I think he would crack it. I see him similar to a Buckley type personality, 'why doesnt everyone care as much as I do'? he does have improvement with leadership to go though. he needs to be able to relate to kids to be able to influence them and I am also not sure how vocal he is on and off field.

is this based on anything you've heard or just gut feel? I don't think we bat deep enough through the midfield to getting rid of one of our best players. usually you would think one of our inside mids would be injured at any given time, so we need back up.

by "completely new club" I think and hope he means - attitude and professionalism losing to Freo/Sydney and beating Saints/GWS shows we still have a soft underbelly. We have the talent to be 5-6th easily but our lack of killer instinct and to do whatever is necesary to win is still lacking. unload a few pea hearts and recruit/draft more lads that will do anything to win. culture shift still needed

him and Gawn were apparently the two standouts from a leadership perspective. He has the respect of his teammates. Trains and plays like a maniac. you wouldn't see him laughing or groping during a 3/4 time address from the coach. he sets the tone often early in games with toughness and mental application and in the two finals we won, he was terrific. If he was to leave which I don't think he will, it would be because he is disillusioned with the lack of professionalism of his teammates to turn up each session/each game with the right attitude

aren't you a genius. first round draft picks look better than mid season draft top up players. you need to have a 45th player on your list. quite likely they won't make it. we gave him a crack and he didnt make it. we move on

For a club desperately lacking onfield leadership and elite professional standards, losing Jack is not an option imo he needs to improve his game no doubt, study some tapes of Libba and how he handballs early and long outside the packs.

If we had of beaten Sydney we would be playing St Kilda in a final next week. god that is hard to stomach, and the pies would have been knocked out of finals 5 weeks to go into season.
