Having virtually no best 22 players unavailable for round 1 and 90% of the top tier getting a good preseason is a great result. No excuses Demons!! If Clarry played like he did last year off no preseason, I cannot wait for the season to begin! *I am not including Bennell as he has so long to go to be considered for a game.

I get that Brown is doing well in the practice matches (but kicking not great) but I don't think he gets a look in when Gawn is back. 2 of T Mac, Weed, LJ and Brown will be up fwd I would think. We have Trac, Fristch, Melk, up there too Brown would be last in line for me. good to have the back up though!

I agree with him about Brisbane, I predict they will have a tough year. No hodge, a young team will struggle with expectations. I always think the Cats will struggle but they finished top last year so who knows. Sydney have zero chance of top 8, not sure where he is coming from on this one.

how about shorter games? these 135-140 minute games are too long. go back to the old days of 120 minute matches I reckon. itll be higher quality and less injuries

there are ~12 players on out injury list and none got injured during a match. injuries happen

you don't want us to play practice matches before round 1?? they are important to get some match fitness and getting rid of some rust

Wish I had your confidence. May has been out for 5 weeks already when it was thought to be very minor originally (new setback last week). I hope you are right!

The fact that the delisted bomber Brown is even being mentioned is not a good sign We really need May and T Mac as our bookends. they cant take a trick

HF Fristch Jackson Petracca FF Kossy T Mac Melksham is a bloody good fwd line. everyone good below the knees aside from T Mac. most are quick and can pressure. very tough to match up on those 6 If the Weed plays well in practice matches he may get Jackson's spot but we shall see. some competition up fwd is something we have not had

I don't get the concept of a pass mark for Footy. So it not successful but it's not failure? you dont play or watch sport to just 'pass' or to not fail. you play to succeed. Getting this generation of players back on track and winning is required. 14 wins or more would be a good year and get us back on track for a tilt over the next 3-4 years

Being hopeful and from reading reports - Gus, Max and May should be right for round one and have had solid preseason. aside from that only really one from best 22 injured AVB - arguably.. I hold little hope, for Bennell, KK in the first half of the year and not much more for Hannan given his cursed luck
