  1. 57 cases. Won’t be out of lockdown before GF you wouldn’t think. 😩😭
  2. You are missing something. We’re in a pandemic. Home ground advantage with zero crowds at the G is not a big advantage as evidenced by our record. Playing at a neutral venue it would be a sell out with quite a few demons fans.
  3. Zero chance man. I wish it wasn’t the case but we’ll be lockdown through Sept
  4. Is it true MFC has never won 17 or more in a season ever?? and the Hawks have done so 15 times? According to Swampthing sweet Jesus. We are having an all time season. One to remember and hopefully the start of something
  5. Certainly the teams that are getting screwed the most are the Swans and GWS. Haven’t played in Shydney since early June. Been on the road for months and it will continue. Has to take its toll
  6. If we finish top, we were the best and most consistent team all year. Doesn’t mean nothing to me
  7. they are all anti-vaxxers??
  8. Well Magner isn't there so it can't be that they all helped build East Link yeah that's my contribution to the thread. my brain stopped working 4 lockdowns ago
  9. I think I am in the minority here but I would prefer we play in front of a crowd over an empty MCG. Even if only a couple thousand MFC fans can see the game that is better than none. They got 60K for the neutral dreamtime game so I think a top 4 final would be a sell out in AO, Gabba or Optus. It is soulless watching us play to empty stadiums and hard for the players to get up, whether that is being spurred on by boos, or cheered on. Watching at home is hard enough, but having no crowds its like its not even real or happening. Anyway, that's my two cents
  10. We should not flirt with form or agree to 'not go too hard' with the Cats if the dogs win. not going in 100% can result in more injuries not less from my experience. Also, we have some good form and if we lose that continuity it is hard to get back. I don't mind Gawn or 1-2 others being rested if they are sore but the players selected should go in 100%
  11. Any chance of an option c) ?! watching it at home I mostly feel sorry for my wife and kids as I’ll be a freaking nightmare to be around
  12. I reckon the demons would be the team that the others would least like to face first up. Adelaide or Optus. Who cares. Let’s just hammer someone
  13. There goes finals
  14. Why isnt Adelaide being seriously considered for the finals/GF. seems the best option to me. closer to other cities, no quarantine, no [censored] for a premier, only a few thousand less capacity
  15. I wonder what will happen to the Tigers now they have imploded. Dimma won't be around much longer and I can see a few players being shopped around as they look to re build Dusty would be handy over the next 2-3 years. the thought of being a 6 time premiership player might interest him?
  16. Can't believe there are 6 scenarios with one round to go. I am not afraid of any scenario as I think we can beat anyone. Worst case being away to Cats with a crowd. Followed by away to Port For some reason I am sure the dogs will beat port so we'll be fine either way and can rest a couple if needed
  17. Not often (if ever) my mates compliment a demons player but during the last game I got this from a mate "That Jackson looks a [censored] pick up. not sure he is athletic enough for a big man" *dripping with sarcasm
  18. the issue is that they would get a medal for not playing a game. We should not worry about the 23rd player being subbed in unless it helps us win the game
  19. All finals and GF being played in Perth when neither WA team is in the finals is pretty funny
  20. If Melksham had any chance of playing finals he gave it away with that petulant kick into the stands. He doesn’t care enough. it’s a pity coz in the first ten minutes he looked a star. For the rest of the game he was missing
  21. Some players are just naturals. Size doesn't matter when you have speed of mind and great skills. Can't see this bloke getting flustered and I cant see him being dropped. I thought he would have come in earlier but we rightfully gave Jetta the chance early and made Jake earn his stripes so he was 100% ready to be successful Great drafting, development and selection MFC
  22. What would I do for the club? [censored] all! We've stuck through with them in the dark days, the horrific days and even the Mark Neeld days. I would accept a thank you from the club for sticking around when many have dropped off I would celebrate like a maniac and buy my membership for next year and cheer my guts out like usual
  23. agreed. It could leave a stain on the game
  24. confirmed 2 week extension until 2nd Sept with curfew as people cannot follow rules and continue to even have engagement parties indoors with no masks won't even be able to watch the finals at the pub this sucks
  25. Fritsch kicks a lot more goals when we don’t play 2 talls plus LJ. I’d be interested in the stats on this. I reckon he has less room to lead when T Mac is there as well
