Watts is a low level player with good foot skills. I doubt he would get a game in a district team the way he is playing at present, without his famous draft pick number. He needs a lot of training in tackling, body on body work, and his core strength needs building up and the way he runs needs sorting out so that his centre of gravity is lower like ablett or Judd. He is still very immature and may develop with a lot if gym work, skills work and coaching. His dislike of contact and rough stuff is a big worry though for a footballer.

The over use of handball began with Dean Bailey trying to imitate the winning Geelong style of the time. The players couldn't do it like Geelong and instead looked like scared rabbits in the headlights, constantly passing backwards, sideways and turning it over. It's due to lack of speed, endurance, talent and guts.

You are absolutely right. Particularly Essendrug who missed the most incredibly easy shots from 10m out directly in front. This team is shot mentally and does not have the skills. The seconds are a worry too (no depth). Big turnover of players called for plus more help from the AFL unfortunately.

I doubt very much that grimes is up for trading he is a captain for heavens sake. This would be history in the making. Trade a captain? Spencer has only just been re-signed (unfortunately) so he's not going either. Roos has defended Watts all year publicly so he'd look pretty silly if Watts was traded out.

The only players worth keeping are N Jones, Salem, Jetta, JKH, Tyson, Michie, Cross, Jamar, Hogan, Dawes, Viney, Dunn, Kent, Vince, Howe. Jamar may retire. Cross may retire although I doubt it. The rest should be considered for trading or delisting.
