We should be a top five team! I'm sick of MFC supporters who accept the past fifty years of failure. When I was a little kid we were the top team and had been for a decade. Since norm smith was sacked we've been a bottom feeder club and everyone is surprised when we win a game or get into a finals series, let alone a grand final.

Frawley turnover king. Must go and hopefully we get some compo. Aidan Riley's free kick into the fifty that he couldn't decide who to kick to then was tackled resulting a turnover was an absolute shocker. Jack Watts is still a schoolboy and plays in a gutless fashion. Dawes was pretty pathetic today. Geelong are bigger, faster, more talented, good at hoodwinking umpires and actually want to win the game. Viney and jamar, perhaps Howe our only players today. The rest wanted to be at home by the fire sitting on a potty.

GWS is a disaster for us and the AFL. It's a failed experiment like the rugby league players brought into the AFL. Nobody supports them except the fools at AFL house. The players all want to leave and be in good clubs that win games. Many were high draft picks and have been shafted by this cruel twist of fate that they were born in the wrong year when Greatest Waste of Space was created and stole all our picks.

I would suspect almost all of them would rather be playing for a real club.

You have a good point but I think it's a bit of both.

Personally I think when our team waits for the "play to unfold" they are all matched up and end up kicking to a contest and resulting in a turnover. The teams who move it on quickly do better. As does our team when we have our confidence up.

Girls stop fighting. We're on the same side! There was a lot of kicking out from their forward half in panic last night to nobody in particular, resulting in turnovers. The delivery to Dawes needs to be into his bread basket not above his outstretched finger tips over his head. We clearly need some more strong, tough, fast mid fielders and forwards. We have a top coach. We have poor players. Even Nathan Jones, arguably our best overall player this year and Dunn would struggle to get a game at a top four club. Look at Sylvia. Jack Watts still plays like he's at school most weeks. He might develop in about 3-5 more years. Unfortunately we need another big turnover of players but do we have the funds to get talent of the level required? At least now we have recruiting staff and a great coach instead of half blind fools for recruiters. Just some embittered but hopeful observations.

If you're a Casey player in a team that is losing by big margins every week and Casey is the melbourne reserves (plus a few) do you think you are likely to be a great AFL player in the next few years? I don't. So nobody thinks Cale Morton was a dud? Or diamond Jim Tilbrook? Or Gysberts? Duds and spuds Name one current player in MFC who would have got a game in the 1959 team..
