Hey StKilda how's McCartin going? And thanks for that.
-
He may be staying at WCE.
-
Gaff still not decided according to AFL.com 7:35pm

If this delusional prediction comes true I shall change my avatar to a photo of my bum or Sam McClure whichever is uglier. Edit:- You better hope he is wrong.

You have back pedaled AF. You suggested that I had misrepresented people quoted in the media. I had said "I took it to mean", that is an opinion. I have not misrepresented statements. You then said "You therefore can't say definitively either way." that is a back pedal.

A master at obfuscation.

I think he articulated it as he intended. He is one clever hombre that one.

Ironic! Edit: This is what Mahoney said. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2018-10-02/hogan-yet-to-decide-on-home “Steven May is a player we have been tracking for a little while,” he said. “He still has to make a decision whether he wants to leave Gold Coast, but we think as a club, if he decides to come to Melbourne, we’d be a really good choice for him. “He’s the type of player we need in our backline and we’ll be able to do a deal if that opportunity does come.” Despite acknowledging the potential of a Hogan-May trade, Mahoney reinforced that several choices still need to be made. “The only link is that we wouldn’t be able to afford to get Steven May with Jesse on our list,” he said. “There is a decision to be made first of all by Jesse and then what flows out of that are the things that we’ll consider over the next week.” Note:- "able to afford to get". to get . to do the trade. He does not say unable to keep or unable to have. I believe this means unable to afford the currency required to do the trade this year. He makes no mention of cap space.

187cm is not tall. Clayton Oliver is 187, Angus Brayshaw 187, Bailey Fritch 188
-
No he didn't. He said we couldn't afford May without Hogan leaving. I took that to mean we had nothing to trade (picks). We need early picks to afford to be able to trade for quality players.
-
No guarantee that Freo gets him next year, he may decide to stay or go to WCE or even replace Buddy @ Sydney on massive $$. If they don't deal now they may not get him, ever. But your point is right re trade picks but we 'd receive AFL compensation, not so good for a Premiership team.

What have you got against safari shirts? Neru jacket man myself.

Funnily now I think it more likely to happen than before. I have no trust or respect for some media outlets and contempt for many others. Many journalists are low life ambulance chasers with lower scruples and standards than the worst posters here. I will not believe that Hogan is being traded until I hear it from the club. Edit:- Happy to talk about his worth though. 2 early first rounders +

If May were to stand out of the game for a year would GCS get anything from head office? -

Some are floating the idea that the Suns are better waiting until next year for better compensation. Against that he could get injured, lose form, lose interest or stand aside for a season then they get less or nothing for him. MFC should remind them of these outcomes and suggest the benefits of trading now , like we are with Hogan (probably) -
Ok if you insist. YOU HAVE NO IDEA what the final deal will be. At this stage it is speculation. But you might be right. What I have been trying to say is don't jump off a cliff it could end well. I am sorry if I have upset you, I thought I was being a voice of reason.
-
So the new successful structure is 2 ruckmen and a tall forward line.
-
Plus apparently we have asked if we can trade next year's first pick. If so the possible 6 this year plus next year's first pick for Kelly? That would be making the best of losing Hogan
-
Sorry for asking a question but when did the details of the official Hogan trade get announced? That's what I thought. We have not won or lost in the possible Hogan trade yet. Ok to discuss but easy on the barbs.
-
Why would I apologize? Have I been wrong? The truth is nothing has happened yet. Don't get so bent out of shape. You may end up being right. Or wrong.
-
Wow. Have you answered any of my questions? Yes I acknowledge that you have been commenting here for weeks, so what. One question I would like you to answer. Could the MFC benefit from trading Hogan? I think it is possible. You may not, but as you keep saying this is a forum for discussion, unfortunately it seems that you like what you say but not opposing views. You don't need to repond I have already read your views.
-
So you believe everything in the media. Which 2 - 1st rounders? What are we going to do with them? Why would I need to apologize your chicken little sky is falling attitude is over the top I have read the rumours as have you. What is to stop us using the trade to make is better with established players? Would Gaff, May, Preuss, KK make us better? We seem to play better without Hogan. So chill we can end up a better side out of this. Go dees.
