Farewell Jesse Hogan
Missing friends in Melbourne. Freo have said he is able to be in Melbourne midweek on compassionate grounds. Had a coffee & a dart with Goodwin, discussed coming home to Melbourne if a deal could be worked out

I would like to suggest that those asking for a thread to be closed be banned for 1 month. If the thread is going after the month ban them for life. There are too many killjoys in life, don't come here if you don't like it. It is not compulsory.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
I love the idea of two monster rucks that can take the odd mark and kick the odd goal. All other sides have to reconsider how to play us particularly with our midfield being so good. We have removed a weak spot and provided valuable relief/ back up for the Gawn. If playing forward they can get a goal a match each, or dropping back cut off a goal we are a much better side. With the new rules I think we are very well placed to usher in the new era of two full time ruckmen.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Could be brutal. New club rule. No killing teammates at training.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
The thing with May is that I think he will make all the other defenders walk taller, be more confident and less likely to be intimidated. Reminds me of a Big Byron. He and Jetta will be rocks.

I don't think he cares. He is a strange cat.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I want to win a flag! I don't care about highest ever goal kickers.

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?

Better than Hogan getting one.

For Freo, with Ross Lyon coaching....not much chance.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
So do you think we will be a worse side next year with no Hogan but May & KK in? Think about our wins without Hogan then answer. Edit: How many more wins if we had had May? 2 = top 4 finish

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
What did we get for a forward never played more than 17 games in a season with a dodgy foot?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Why would anyone want a player that would prefer to play for Freo. He obviously has more important things in his life than football and that is obvious. He is a sublime talent but his head is not on the footy field.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Hey Jesse we're in WA - no not the premiers We have an experienced coach - no has not won a premiership like the other guy Have some great players - well not as good as the other side Are in a premiership window - well not quite yet but within 50 years or so maybe Play exciting football - not really Ross is coach Lots of forward 50 entry's - OK not that many really Plenty of support from other KPF's - woops not us So what do you say Jesse are you coming to Fremantle? We can't pay what you want but purple would look good on you!
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
If the answer is I want to play for Fremantle, I have no idea what the questions is.

OK just for a moment stop to consider why we are trading, what is our goal? If we think that replacing Hogan for May is a bad deal because Hogan is a better player we are missing the big picture. If we have 3 Hogans & no Mays and our aim is not to have the most talented side but to win premierships we do the deal. So a win at the trade table means our side becomes better & we have a better chance to win a flag. If we can make our side better we do the deal, forget 23 & 30 vs 15 or 5 vs 8 & 11 or Hogan vs May KK 23. If Hogan out enables us to be better we win.
