Martin Flanagan's Ode to the MFC
We are an eclectic bunch here on Demonland, drawn together by our love of the Mighty Demons. In the words of the lauded wordsmith Jeff Fenech," I love youse all." We've got this.

MFC - the original owner of the MCG
Interesting that we are mentioned on the MCC site but the MCC are not mentioned on the MFC site. We are a sporting section of the MCC, I think we are still tenants. I note that the baseball section is older than the football. Edit; I cannot find mention of the relationship in either clubs Reports other than a MFC acknowledgment of support from the MCC? The MFC report says it is financially dependent on the AFL. What is the legal relationship between MCC & MFC?

MFC - the original owner of the MCG
Sorry Ron we are but a tenant. It is the MCG not the MFG, cricket was first played on the G, rumour has it that football was devised as a method to keep the cricketers fit during winter. So if your primary premise is flawed it does not help your argument. But we were the first football tenants.

1964 memories- calling our older supporters
I listened on my brothers car radio in the front yard, he caught the train to the match, I was too young to go (7) Edit: That can't be right must have been my mothers or fathers car, my brother was only 16. So the car was either a Zephyr or a Borgward, yes that's how long ago our last flag was.

GAMEDAY - Semi Final
Are we there yet? The day is dragging on, I think the clock has stopped.....no, damn that's slow. I have read everything about the footy twice already, might find some Jack Watts threads that will keep me busy. Check the time 3:35pm, come on match time. The last 20 years has gone in a blink and the last ten minutes has been an eternity. Might watch some water boil.

Are the Dees September 2018 better than the Tiges and Bulldogs circa 2017 and 2016?
Moonie, perhaps you are aptly named after all.

Why we hate the Hawks
When 50yo Hawks supporters talk about having to survive the bad years I become incandescent with rage, usually I finish with - when you haven't won a flag for over 50 years come back to me because currently you are talking out of the wrong hole.

Really, so does that include other crimes? Should we embrace rape and murder? Dedogtor bad things happen and I will not embrace them. Tagging is a recent plague in western culture and it is not to be celebrated.- Hosier Lane, MELBOURNE
Smokey I have just returned from George Town Penang and they have some magnificent street art, not a sign of tagging, so the world can enjoy the wonderful art. I would be disgusted if someone were to deface it.- Hosier Lane, MELBOURNE
Never been the victim of mindless vandals destroying your property? Tagging is a blight on society perpetrated by inarticulate lowlifes that are incapable of owning or appreciating property or art. Street art has a place tagging is a disgrace.- Hosier Lane, MELBOURNE
