I hate to admit it but one this occasion I think you are right. There are plenty of examples. Watts first game ( he is the future). Pedersen being left out (he is not the future), Magner being left out (??) Many players get games when there are others showing better form in the VFL. I suppose Lewis will get a game this week, BOG in the VFL or will the FD invest in the future? Preuss has our highest goal per game average and can play in the ruck, Tommy Mac had been in terrible form, who do we play?

I would have loved Goodes to have been a Melbourne player, but he played for Sydney and I thought he was a dirty [censored] (like Chris Judd). I think Goodes is an astute individual and plays his hand well. I do not like booing but have been know to boo bad umpiring decisions. I think a lot of the Goodes later booing was tall poppy syndrome with a hint of racism. I deplore racism.

Braydon Preuss leads goal average and he can't get a game and I for one do not understand why he has only played 2 games and yes it is a small sample but he kicked more in pre season matches as well. Small sample but I think it is still valid.

However if we look at goal per game average, disposals av, frees for, contested possessions, effective disposals, disposal efficiency, clearances, rebound 50's, one percenters, stopage clearances, metres gained, intercepts another player is in front of him. Can you guess who?
