  1. Older Australians have to have the 2nd grade AZ vaccine. As a younger Australian you can have the premium. AZ has a longer wait between doses.
  2. I would like to know why ask us? Have all clubs been asked the same questions? Have other sports been surveyed? Are we being set up? Okay call me a suspicious sceptic. I will abstain.
  3. I count 10 question marks. I demand a recount!
  4. Bob you talk about odds as if they are based in fact. They are are simply the number of dollars that guess an outcome. They are not factual, logically over time due to their nature (losers run out of money and a side that normally wins normally wins)they are more accurate than a dart board. One chance in four does not mean you will win one in four. I know you know this, but your language suggests odds as fact. Yes I would rather be the favourite but as we know it is not a guarantee.
  5. This year we are like a V12 engine running on 9 or 10 cylinders. Past teams have been like V8's . This team has the potential to be one of the best, win a flag or four then we will know.
  6. Josh Fraser, pick 1 lucky to weigh 80kg carrying a bag of wet cement when drafted.
  7. I'm feeling it. I believe! We can do it.
  8. D . . . . fence?
  9. I cannot understand why teams playing in these blockbusters don't do a split 70-30 one year and 30-70 the next. Reduces risk for both sides and helps to even cash flow. Note. Could be 60-40 whatever works.

    I think Yze.
  11. DJ , at this point you could argue that they are all lesser clubs. ?
  12. I disagree Jaded, we could argue that the medical sub was precautionary as insufficient time remained for a thorough examination. Subsequently after the match it could have been determined that Langdon was dazed not concussed. So he could play next week.
  13. Isn't it more a case of Brisbane not being able to return to Queensland or us to travel to Queensland?
  14. Dreaming. Ralph doesn't know and couldn't be bothered finding out.
  15. Polly that is exactly what I said in another post. I would give up my position in the queue and wait for the vaccine of my choice. This does not affect any herd immunity nor does it slow down the rollout. It is my choice.
  16. And India leading the way in donating Covid vaccines to other countries. Go figure? Donations to other countries, India 10,200,000 (Yes 10.2 million) New Zealand 1,600,000 Australia 8,000 (Yes 8 thousand) https://www.kff.org/policy-watch/putting-u-s-global-covid-19-vaccine-donations-in-context/
  17. Lucifer, who controls Australians borders and quarantine? Is it the Federal Government by any chance? The fact that the states are running the quarantine centres is because the Federal government have relinquished it to the states because the states offered and The Federal government could not handle it. If you doubt this, see what would happen if any state said refugees are welcome.
  18. Unfortunately it is only the 40-49yo's now eligble for Phizer, we over 50's still second grade citizens.
  19. Bob I agree there are limited doses available, I agree that the under 50's are at a slightly higher risk of blood clots. Can you agree that those that want to be vaccinated should be able to now, and that those that are prepared to wait have the right to do so? I put it to you that there are not enough doses or capacity at the moment to vaccinate everyone that wants a vaccine now. I am an adult and understand the risks. I will give up my place in the queue to someone who wants AZ now and will happily wait until the vaccine I choose is available, I will wait my turn. Your assertion that my attitude will extend lock-downs for many more months is factually incorrect. If I give up my place to an under 50 that wants to be vaccinated now it does not extend any lock-down. The vaccine queue is no longer, I simply move back in the queue. My choice.
  20. Faulty, I have just been checking some UK stat's. The under 50's are about twice as likely to get blood clots than over 50's from AZ. It is still a very low number compared to the pill for instance. But why are older people being used to get rid of the surplus drug. We could do as other countries have done and given it to poorer desperate countries. We will all probably have to have the mRNA drugs eventually anyway to combat the mutations.
  21. I'm over 50, give me the same vaccine as the under 50's or are we second class citizens? I am not anti vaccine. I would be happy to pay, I would be happy to travel to get a jab, but no I can only get the cheap less effective more dangerous vaccine. If you under 50's disagree you get the AZ vaccine, you can if you want to.
  22. Not all vaccines are equal against all strains. mRNA's appear to be more effective against more strains. It seems that all the vaccines have similar efficacy when they work. The blood clot issue is minor unless you are the unlucky one.
  23. I agree OD, it is your choice. But I don't think your 70yo mate is a problem, he is simply making a choice. If I lived in Melbourne now or many overseas locations I'd have AZ tomorrow. I am also waiting for an mRna jab, but I'm keeping my eye on the situation.
  24. Of bird flu?
  25. I understand OD, but your dig at your 70yo mate as if he puts others at risk I think is misplaced. One of the problems with AZ is the overall efficacy rate against all strains of Covid. If as been quoted it is about 65% effective you need close to 100% take up to achieve herd immunity. The mRna jabs over 88% effective meaning approx 70% take up achieves herd immunity. My feeling is that eventually we will all be offered an mRna vaccine even those that have had the AZ Rna jabs. Any way stay safe my friend.
