We don't have him yet. He could train with us and be picked by someone else. I would think he would tell us if he received another offer though.

The Footy Impact of Victoria's Lockdown
ManDee replied to La Dee-vina Comedia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would it make a difference if the quote was speed of Covid or spread of Covid? I wonder. Australia is doing extremely well, let's not lose sight of that. As for who is responsible, the federal government is responsible for who enters Australia. The federal government is responsible for quarantine by law. The states are doing a very good job of stepping into the breach of an ill prepared (understandably) federal government. Time for the Feds to do their job. At the moment we are all doing a great job, it is tough. It is important. -
I could tell you but that would defeat the purpose. Here's a clue, no T$ no B$ however there is a lot of B$

We simply could have picked him in the draft as a father son. Or just picked him with our last pick. All clubs passed on selecting him.

Very verbose of you Mr Land. I said, Win

Eddie McGuire Steps Down Effective Immediately

Now I get it. It is OK because others have done it. Seriously Cranky give up. -

So let me get this right. You can invade a country, dispossess the natives of their lands, rape their women, carry out acts of war, gather up the natives and move them away from their homelands but if you declare you are protecting them, it is OK. FMD -
Review Finds Collingwood Guilty of Systemic Racism
ManDee replied to rjay's topic in Melbourne Demons
Funny, I seem to recall reading that Buckley and Eddie have no recollection of HL being called chimp. And yet we have documented evidence that it was his nickname. Another player Simon Godfrey? recalls HL promoting the nickname. HL says he accepted it to fit in. Is it possible for Buckley not to know a team mates nickname? I call BS. I call this an example of systemic racism. The removal of Eddie is not the end of this. -

If you can't understand what the fuss is about if an aboriginal is called a monkey, a chimp or a gorilla the point is you don't get it. You just don't get it. That's ok but commenting simply reinforces your lack of understanding. Eddie may have thought likening Goodes to King Kong was a compliment (unlikely) but that just shows how out of touch he is. It is an insult, greater than any insult most of us could understand. -

Review Finds Collingwood Guilty of Systemic Racism
ManDee replied to rjay's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't think so La D. You can say,(We are deeply sorry if anyone has been hurt or offended. We will endeavour to ensure that it never happens again.) This does not admit wrongdoing but serves as an apology of sorts. -
I think you should read it again Soup.

So that is the edited version, how incomprehensible was the original?

Jonathan Brown to take Sam Weideman under his wing
ManDee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
You said nothing of current coaches. There are plenty of assistant coaches, we even have one. Forwards are over represented in the media which may keep some away from coaching. -

And so he did, I typed his name during an edit, must have forgotten to save. -

Norm Smith was handy. John Longmire, Leigh Mathews, Robert Walls, they even named a medal after Coleman. Edit, And they are premiership coaches. There are others. -
They are not allowed to! They roll their eyes and put it in the mailbag going to Melbourne. If I pay extra ($1 per letter) they can put it straight in.

Australia Post must spend a fortune on storage and freight. I would have thought it cheaper to deliver the mail rather than store and move it. I have posted a letter in the Mansfield post office addressed to a Mansfield Post Office Box. It is sent to Melbourne for sorting then sent back to Mansfield mail centre where they resort and send to the Post Office where they put it in the post box just 4 metres from where I posted it in the first place! You have to wonder.
