  1. He is nearly 30. I know its a shallow draft, but geez. *Note... I stand corrected, he is 29 in November.
  2. Essendon supporters say the same about Melksham. My old man is an Dons supporter and he laughed his head off when I told him we were into Melksham. To his credit, he did elaborate as to why he didn't rate Melksham - too many turnovers, and a poor decision maker.
  3. I think Collingwood will accept a 3rd round towards the end of the trade period.
  4. Either Lennon is chasing a few more dollars, or Richmond is low balling him. The truth is probably somewhere in between, and they could both be a fair way apart. I expect that MFC will ask the question. Lennon is a classy player, it was a toss up (in my mind) between Salem and Lennon at pick 9 for us.
  5. Pick 3 IMO will get us the best kid in the draft - Francis. He is just dominant, both Brisbane and Carlton are making a mistake if they overlook Francis, I only assume that our football department also believes that. Time will tell I guess, as of yet, we don't actually know whether there is any substance to the pick swap with GC.
  6. Yeah, I think that makes sense. That would be a great result. Melksham and Kennedy for 25 would be a fantastic result, it offsets the prospect of losing Melksham due to a WADA ban.
  7. Just listening to Barrett and Wallace, these blokes are just whingers. Barrett is so black and white in his thinking, and Wallace, I see why he bungled the Franklin trade when he was coach, he doesn't seem to have much of a clue.
  8. That probably wouldn't even land Treloar.
  9. Treloar is worth our first rounder this year - and next. There isn't a mid in this draft half the quality of Treloar.
  10. Spot on. There is no rush, no other team is going to pay a second rounder for Melksham. Maybe Collingwood want 25 for Kennedy - who I rate a far better prospect than Melksham - so perhaps we are trying to keep 25 for Kennedy, and are trying to free up a second rounder somewhere else.
  11. That is a steal, Redden is a classy player.
  12. Recruiters should be looking for those opportunities, because it will happen, there will be a few teams who don't perform up to expectations. I think Adelaide and North would be 2 sides I'd be trying to pry a 2016 first rounder out of.
  13. A player not looking down the barrel of a 2 year WADA ban.
  14. Mummys boy is back home with Mummy.
  15. My first thought was that it is hogans_heroes.
  16. No, we can offer them 43, or tell them to wait. We might be able to get another pick to satisfy. All we have done here is bend over to Essendon. They are in no position to play hardball, because they have WADA hanging over their head. Let's watch a professional club like St KIlda deal with Essendon over the next few days.
  17. Yeah, we are a bit of a laughing stock when it comes to negotiation at the trade table.
  18. You would think so, Melksham is a very ordinary football player. I would ask for Essendons second rounder.
  19. Trade radio suggests this deal will be done for a second round pick tomorrow.
  20. With gems like those, he could be one of many posters on Demonland.
  21. Pick 6.
  22. If we do that trade, my money would be on Francis. He is athletic and versatile, has a higher ceiling than Parish IMO.
  23. Brayshaw looks like a future A grade mid.
  24. That was more due to Adelaide needing to inject young talent into their side - as they had been banned from the draft due to the Tippett saga. Also, they expected Brad Crouch to take Vince's position, that hasn't happened, its not looking like a good trade for Adelaide. Bernie Vince won a B&F in 2009, teams don't just give them out.
  25. He is slow by pace, foot and by brain. He simply isn't a very good footballer. Its laughable that MFC are trading for him.
