  1. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/how-melbourne-built-jesse-hogan-20150427-1mukbm.html Nice article on Hogan.
  2. Geeeezus. Wish I was there.
  3. Speaks well thesedays does Nathan. A real 'leader of men'. It is good to see Roos come in and put things right. MFC is a club players WILL want to come to. I would want to come play at MFC if I was a player (trying not to be bias).
  4. Sides we are better than. Collingwood. Tigers. Suns. Brisbane. Eagles. Carlton. St Kilda. Sides we are just below. Geelong. North. Adelaide. Essendon.
  5. Good numbers for Toumpas, I'd keep him in the VFL for another couple of weeks. This would be doing a lot for his confidence.
  6. I think the last 'quality' win. Adelaide in Adelaide last year. The umps were ALL over us, it was a joke. Given our psychological problems (in regards to dropping our heads, culture related issues, etc), I thought that was a good win. Last nights win is up with that. Last night we have structure, and it looks like we have a lot to work with. Richmond have issues, they don't have much of a game plan, they don't play to structures, nor do they have the right personal to take them into the 4. My suggestion to Richmond would be Bomber Thompson - or Shaun Hart.
  7. And to think we have another McDonald coming through in the future. All the sudden MFC looks like it might actually have a future. Tom McDonald was unbelievable last night, he stopped everything.
  8. Rightfully so, he cost me my 40 plus bet.
  9. I just don't see many flaws in his game. He does everything well - and consistently well. Finds the pill, tackles (think he had 12-13 tonight), plays smart. Granted he did have a brain fade late in the game, but I thought he was top 3 tonight. What a find. Adding Vandenberg and Brayshaw to the side - and to a lesser extent Newton - has been massive for us.
  10. Not through a lack of trying. The umpiring was terrible.
  11. Absolutely nailed it. He has 2 gears, that is why he sticks so many tackles. He slows down, judges pace well, can move in any direction. Ollie Wines was the last draftee I seen be able to do this, Martin before him, and Sidebottom before him. I think Brayshaw is cleaner than them all, and as aggressive as Wines.
  12. Yep, I'd run him in the midfield at Casey for a month. He needs touch, that 'short and sharp' work. I would even encourage him to play basketball midweek - like Jarrad Brennon did at the GC. The club needs to change its tact with Watts, they need to find other ways to build his confidence, and improve his touch.
  13. If he walks - he walks. Howe can play, but for 650k we could get a more effective player. Howe has an easy gig down back atm. Dunn and McDonald are the ones putting in the work. MFC shouldn't be held over the barrel by a Capper clone.
  14. If I wasn't already half plastered I'd get down there.
  15. Geez, we finally have a side boys.
  16. Cleaned up. Vandenberg cost me the over 40 with the free kick reversal. But what a result. It is a grand old flag.
  17. I can't see Cross playing till years end.
  18. 3 high frees Miles. It has became an art. Pretty poor, results in goal. We just need to hang in there till the umps are forced to even the ledger.
  19. Get Brayshaw in the middle. Nothing like a well balanced kid in these conditions.
  20. It looks that way, they'll even up the frees when Richmond get on top of us.
  21. Richmond doing the simple things better.
  22. John Ralph thinks we'll have to offer Howe 650k plus to keep him. Hopefully we get a decent trade for him.
  23. I've loaded up on us to win at $3.65. Specked us to win by over 40 points - at $21. And had a decent crack at the $2.50 on offer about us being the first team to 25 points.
  24. They basically got pick 3 (or equivalent of in Frawley), pick 18 (Franklin compo) for Franklin. They freed up their salary cap, allowing them to get Frawley. Hawthorn whinge about FA, but they received a first round pick for Franklin and had Frawley walk to them for nothing a year later. If they'd of kept Franklin, they wouldn't have Frawley, pick 18, and they would've lost 1, maybe 2 players due to cap pressure.
