I disagree, I just think Watts inconsistency thus far - has more to do with his age/maturity. Watts dominated the juniors and when he gets that maturity - will dominate the AFL. My friends still laugh at me when I talk up Jack Watts, but I just shake my head at them, kids need time. We don't give them time, but they need it.

Big difference between Watts and Toump. Watts is calm, poised and has never panicked. Toumpas is the opposite. Watts was no 1 pick off the back of exceptional form - Toumpas a high pick of the back a SANFL final, yet average form against his own age. No comparison. I'd of picked Watts pick 1 and Toumpas 15-20.

Vandenberg, JKH, Brayshaw and Watts - all have very high ceilings. Newton, Garlett, Lumumba - all exceptional, played well above their 2014 form. Tom McDonald was absolutely brilliant, Garland - likewise. Toumpas, very bad.. Maybe not even up to VFL? It is mental, I'd give him a year off and send him to the ABA (amateur boxing). Fully paid by MFC. Great win. Hogan is every we could ever ask for.

We are a better side without James Frawley, that is for sure.

I wouldn't. I am not a Viney fan. But Ablett isn't silly, he knows Viney is just full bore. This worries Ablett, that alone is worth it. Jack Viney is a player that could destroy Ablett in a tackle, not many players are aggressive as Viney. Viney will need to harness that if he is to make a midfielder though. Tagging Ablett today suits him, because Ablett is weary. After today Viney will be up against it to keep his spot.

Garlett, take a bow, that is just perfection.

He needs to slow down, he only has one speed. His decision making will be terrible until he can harness his aggression. He'll lose his spot to either Vandenberg or Brayshaw by mid year, then hopefully Todd gets someone to teach his son. Scott West would've been good.

JKH has been brilliant. Just those little movements, he makes others react around him.

I'm not surprised Grimes has been dropped, I've been calling for him to be dropped for years now. Good to see Brayshaw in for his first game. Vandenberg, good luck young fella. Both great additions. I think Brayshaw will make an immediate impact, and difference to our side.

I think Carlton will win. Cripps will step up and have a great game.

They probably loved Boyd, Tyson and O'Rourke. But money talks. Players want to be closer to home. We should put a very big offer to Josh Kelly or Lachie Whitfield.
