  1. If that was indeed holding there would be a free kick given for every second forward 50 entry.
  2. Saints had their chances and blew it, just like we did. That free kick in the goal square thou, was that worse than the deliberate none call in our game? The umpires explanation “you prevented him from marking? WTF
  3. there’s some beauty’s Disgraceful. When you think we can’t be more putrid we find anew level. What a poor effort Looks like pick 4 in the draft. Let’s hope the club doesn’t stuff up that selection We’re a joke Seriously, why be shocked? We have some of the weakest payers both physically and mentally in the competition. Feel sorry for Steele. He looked so shattered in the end. I tell ya. It’s much better when you stop giving a s***. I have and honestly, I seriously don’t care if they lose. In fact in the last qtr I was willing Adelaide to win. Simply because I don’t want any more half arsed, lame,,[censored] poor wins that cover up just what a farkin shambles of a club we are. Root and branch changes required. Until then they can [censored] off.
  4. Too much bath water over Christmas?
  5. He may get a few less Brownlow votes. But that will just bump Clarry and Tracs chances
  6. I’m sure the umps prefer Gawns sarcastic retorts to Selwoods constant whining.
  7. I remember a few posters saying in March this year that if player A,B or C is getting regular games we won’t make finals. Tomlinson got a few mentions along with Nibbler and Spags.
  8. The way Collingwood leaked that the leadership group weren’t happy with Trelor is unforgivable. Whether it’s true or not is beside the point. Threw them under the bus!
  9. The look on Neale’s face when Gerard mentions premiership. Stirred up so many emotions in me!! Nearly burst into tears! What a legend!!
  10. Spot on! And adding to that. We haven’t been consistent for long enough for bottom teams to fear us. They go into games remembering the Melbourne of the last 2 years. Where as they go into games against Richmond, subconsciously knowing they have little chance. Or going into games against Bulldogs or Brisbane thinking “If they get a run on. It could get really ugly” Based on that, I believe we’ve been quiet composed and mature in some of those close games this year!
  11. I thought all of the “what they’re saying...” threads were just for a chuckle. I for one love them. No names were added to the post so it wasn’t shaming anyone.
  12. ...and some summaries for the rest of us. Please!! @Demonland
  13. Top post! When we are losing games because Sam is getting out marked and the oppo are strolling down the other end to easy goals. We should get rid of him. But he’s not so just leave it. l was listening to SEN Friday night. Gerald Healy, the biggest Dees detractor, was saying how much he loved Sam, thought he’s going to make it as he contested everything! Watch the replay, second half, without biased. How many goals was Sam involved in.
  14. No team first. Doesn’t matter how many he kicks. all that matters is we win!
  15. And I should add. we shelve Weid now. You don’t cut it! Tmac gets injured say 1 month later, M Brown is also injured...and now we need Weid, who we just told wasn’t going cut it.
  16. Awesome questions and the answer is no. At no fault of BBB. Im sure after round 9 the mc decided they won’t work together unless A.B.C happens. BBB went back to VFL to work on a few things. Unfortunately he had 1 chance and it didn’t happen for him. Simple, you don’t make unforced changes to winning teams! It kills the ethos! Just like backs with Tomlinson, The forward line is one injury away from desperately needing Big Ben. But while we are winning and Weid is at least contesting and bringing the ball to ground. Have Faith!!!
  17. Compare apples with apples. round 9 Weid 13 disposals 0.1 goals 5 marks 1 tackles Brown 11 disposals 0.1 goals 3 marks 0 tackles round 10 Weid (AFL) 9 disposals 1.1 goals 3 marks 4 tackles Brown (VFL) 4 disposals 0.0 goals 0 marks 0 tackles round 11 Weid 6 disposals 2.1 goals 5 marks 1 tackle Brown did not play round 12 Weid 8 disposals 0.1 goals 3 marks 2 tackles Brown did not play form from last 4 weeks ?
  18. Just S.A. and only against the filth!
  19. Man up on Lever, Rough up Gawn. It’s all been done unsuccessfully. Maybe the opposite just need to lower the eyes and stop kicking it to them. Brisbane need to take risks through the middle to win. My main worry is how our team defence stands up without Langdon. Might just have to sacrifice some of the offensive running we got from him. Should be a cracking game!
  20. Not killing us but 15.6 Adelaide to 14.11 Dees did lose us that game.
  21. More from big footy; “Number of goal kickers for Melbourne round 7 to 11 - 7 5 8 11 8 average 7.8 and for us 9 11 10 9 13. Average 10.4 simply doesn’t matter who they shut down, we can still get goals. Them, not so much. might be another night for Mitch and matho to shine.” Matho?? “They have a very good top 3 as do we, overall looks pretty even, who ever wants it more will get on top. Some possible match ups? > James Madden > Kysaiah Pickett. Harris Andrews > Sam Weideman. Marcus Adams > Tom McDonald. Brandon Starcevich > Bayley Fritsch. LIONS to slay the Demons.” “Dogs can be easily rattled with high pressure around the ball, we will thrive in that but need to make sure we don’t have a lazy start like we did against the Tigers the week before.” “I'd like us to recognize where Gawn is and kick it to another option where he isn't. I've seen a few of the Melbourne games so far this year & it never ceases to amaze me that he is often at the drop of an opposition kick. Oliver for me is the most dangerous with Petracca close behind. I believe we stop those 3 and we will win.” “Andrews on Weideman. Adams on McDonald. Lester on Fritsch. Starcevich on Pickett. McStay to play a defensive forward role on Lever - stop him from intercepting marks.” “Langdon is a big out for them.Wins a lot of ball and provides a great run around the ground. I wouldn't risk Neale, with the bye coming up give him that extra couple weeks rest. We can afford to rest him another week winning 7 straight.” “The one side who were able to beat Melbourne this year, did so by taking the game on through the middle of the ground and using their run and handball game to break run through the zone. I don't think we have the personnel off half back to successfully play a similar way. I suspect we're going to rely on Rich and Birchall hitting up a player in the middle of the zone to break it up, or continue to go down the line and hope we at least 50/50 the contest.”
  22. Hasn’t heard of Tmac Tommy to kick 6 Weid to kick 3
  23. As an interstate member. 1 rule. Never travel on game day!! (Except night games)
  24. It would be more concerning if he was getting outmarked by his opponent. I’m sure it’s confidence. Tmac, Weid, Fritta, Dogga and Max need to spend more games together. Besides Max who only spends short stints in the forward line. There doesn’t seem to be a clear leader, unlike the backline, May and Lever. I just think they’ll need an extended run at it altogether. Hopefully we don’t get any injuries!
