Trade Fritsch
If DL could get it out there, on social media, what a terrible shot at goal Fritta really is. Then the commentators would stop saying âwhat a beautiful kick of the ballâ he is every time he takes a mark inside 50. His accuracy will improve out of site next year!!

Mumford Fined For Punching Gawn
Mummy gifted us the game with 2 excellent goal assists. It was 4 high hits that I seen and there would have been more. Gawn and Clarry hits. Rivers 1st goal was a swinging arm to the back of the head...I mean shepherd. Tracâs goal. Was a late high hit...I mean attempted tackle on Fritta on the wing. Commentators were encouraging it. From memory they said. â Mummy is giving up height, agility, class pretty much everything to Gawn so what would you doâ âI would be raising the elbows and hitting Gawn hard, inflicting as much as I could on himâ they were cheerleading it in the first couple of minutes of the game.

Agree. I like Ratten but I think he has been sucked in by his player D Howard here. He has to claim he touched it to deflect from his mistakes. 1. he shouldnât have stopped at the marking contest. 3 on 1, he should have sprinted straight to the goal line. 2 watch how easy he his taking it when the ball looks like itâs going through for a behind, he doesnât really take off till the ball dog legs toward goal. Poor defensive effort.

Coronavirus & Other Sports
Every year the Dees go missing for at least 2 weeks, sometimes the entire season. So itâs business as usual.

Coronavirus: AFL & MFC
WC supporters have booed the decision of the AFL to lock them out of Domain stadium for round 1. In fact they threatening to boo all week and turn up and surround Domain stadium...booing. If they donât win the free kick count, they plan on booing well into the foreseeable future.

POSTGAME: MS02 vs Hawthorn
Couldnât think of a more deserving player in the AFL to be dropped on his head! A lot of players I dislike more than Stratton but he is dirty. Watch hawks new tactic of blocking the man on the mark. The umps donât let them stand next to the man on the mark to block anymore. So they run in from behind at the last second. Catching the man on the mark unaware with arms up so midriff exposed. Doesnât take a hard hit to hurt when exposed like that.

POSTGAME: MS02 vs Hawthorn
The wind was definitely a factor. There were intermittent gusts coming from the east. (Big gap in between the stands on the eastern side.) That were strong enough to affect a ball drop let alone the kicks. Still mostly down to skill errors. Big positives for me was work rate behind the ball. We ran hard and set up well, lot of talk going on. Hawks on the other hand just stacked the backline in the second half. Lazy football. Plenty of Melbourne supporters in attendance. Weâre as rare as hens teeth in Tassie, but showed up in force! When Gawn was rested after half time hawks started to get on top. But we fought back, particular towards the end of the third. Tactically adjusted well when the hawks tried to counter our switches. Skills improved as the game went on and you could feel the team confidence rise. Hawks backline put a lot of physical work on and off the ball into Fritter, Melksham and T Mac. They didnât bite back. Huge smile on Fritters face after the game when they were giving out the balls. Obviously loving it! Yes there were negatives...But we won!!! Go Dees!!

POSTGAME: MS02 vs Hawthorn
I think that was ANB. It was on the boundary in the forward pocket. He was on the mark and Stratton put a block on him. He came in hard (too hard) from behind caught him unaware and winded him. Stratton knew it was dirty thatâs why he hung around to make sure he was alright.

And the HTB when he almost took the mark, ball just bounced in front of him. No prior, right in front of goal.

Two Spots Left in Final Eight
Losing Hodge, on field backline coach will be huge. They held firm in some tough games last year. Be interesting to see how their young defenders go this year.

TRAINING: Wednesday 4th December 2019
When confidence is down your kicking will be the first thing to suffer. I donât think Hibbard for example needs to be the most accurate kick. He gets the ball takes off quickly, up the ground Melksham for example, puts body on his opponent enough to take off and give him a break, he heads to open space, Hibbard who has just gained 10m from a quick break kicks a low fast 60m pass into that open space. It doesnât need to be a laser kick, Melksham has the time to gather if he doesnât mark and our elite runners Tmac, ANB (next year Tomlinson and Langdon included) are there to provide support. A couple of goals in this way âchaos apparentlyâ and the oppo defensive zone pushing up the ground is broken. Backs are made accountable, then Oliver, Viney, Brayshaw, Harmes have a little more space to waltz the ball through the centre in a series of quick handballs like we seen in 2018. We have a lot to work on but confidence will see the team improve out of site.

No Time To Panic
Across all teams. 60% of new draftees only last 2 years on the list. Based on that I think Taylor is doing well and our development of players has improved immensely.
