  1. So Steven May will not play this week. 'Misson says he is 'touch and go' , which is his code for "I have no [censored] idea really, I am just guessing and he'll probably be out the rest of the season". The sooner that halfwit goes, the better off we will be. He has mismanaged blokes since forever and can never provide a straight up diagnosis.
  2. If he goes, we need to get someone with experience in from a successful side.
  3. Tom Morris is a snake journalist and has insiders at the Dees. He is kicking us while we are down. This is an attempt to completely unravel us. That [censored] president and the CEO need to get towgether with the FD and unify. We need to hear something
  4. Baker is a better kick than Langdon. Having watched Langdon on the weekend, I am off the idea of getting him. He is fast, but had putrid kicking skills.
  5. CLose this thread. Ridiculous. What a moronic post.
  6. Bit left field, but I’d be like to see us go grab an Irish Gaelic footballer. Not because we have a connection to it as the first side, or because of Stynes, but because there is evidence to suggest that guys can convert with great success. They are hard at it pacey types. I guess the knock on them is the ball use and getting used to the oval ball. However, it doesn’t cost you much and you can place them on the special rookie list. I’d be sniffing around the GAA. I know Nick Walsh (who played for Melbourne circa 2001-2001) and who had worked with GWS, is back in Melbourne and still scouts the Irish prospects. I’d be employing his services. I’d love a Zac Tuohy or McKenna type.
  7. I’ve emailed the club to see if they are interested in acquiring it
  8. I came across this extremely rare piece of MFC history on eBay and thought I’d share it with you all. It is not my item, but I hope someone out there would see it’s value and snap it up. Yep i don’t have enough money at the moment, but I am sure there is a Dees fan out there that would treasure it. It really belongs in a museum if genuine. If anyone has a connection at the club, they may be interested in purchasing. It is a playing cap from 1919. Have a look here: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F392327262148
  9. Richmond will go with two rucks, as they have been last few weeks. After his performance today, I’d bring in preuss just to compete with Chol who may dominate a lesser type like Smith. I think Nankervis is up for selection this week, so it’ll be interesting to see if they leave out Chol or Soldo
  10. Only watched until half time. I stand by all of my assessments besides Preuss. Sounds like he lifted in the 3rd quarter. His opponent was hurting him on the spread, which has been his big area of concern.
  11. Keilty is a potato. Dunkley shows very little at this level. Not sure what he did to warrant senior selection. Every game I’ve seen him play has been average. JKH comfortable at this level. Preuss is not accountable and way off AFL level. I like Jordon. We have nothing to be excited about coming through our list. We simply have no depth.
  12. Melksham mark and goal is a sight for sore eyes. there is a lot to dislike about the way Casey are playing
  13. Max said we wouldn’t be doing that
  14. I simply cannot fathom the fact we gave Goodwin a long term contract on the back of 1 good year. We then got Pert in, who was moved on from Pies for creating a toxic environment there. Then there is the President, who is a [censored] and doesn’t say jack [censored] all season. We have undone all the stability we had. We again lack identity. Pert has failed to deliver on the Yarra Park plan after being cocky and thinking he could get it done. We have no home base training facility. Our two captains are way off it. A voiceless President. A coach with a shocking game plan and deluded sense of where we are at. It’s back to the Neeld era tonight folks. I am that worried about where we are headed. Dont feed us “we’ve been in every match” rubbish. We were a flag favourite and we can’t play 4 quarters and have become the laughing stock of the AFL again. We all have a right to be furious. Don’t sell us bulltish about pre season injuries. All clubs get them. We traded our depth and got [censored] all in return. It stinks of poor management at every single level of the club. It sounds oh so familiar. FMD I need a Valium and a glass of scotch.
  15. Right on the money binman. He is sub standard as a kicker. He can take all the intercept marks he likes, but when you are simply gifting the ball back, it counts for f.all. He is a smarmy, cocky 22 year old who carries on like a 32 year old veteran and everyone was sucked in. He is easily let off, even though he is as bad a disposer of the pill as Omac and Wagners
  16. Lever on 3AW spewing garbage. “We didn’t compete in the contest for long enough” “we are frustrated” “we competed for the first three quarters”. - it’s all bulltish. It’s rubbish football rhetoric. Tell us about the [censored] skills across the board. Why you make horrendous decisions. He sounds just like Goodwin. He is feeding them his crap
  17. I am not interested in hearing any excuses. We have completely overrated our list. We are lead by a board who has no passion for the club. Goodwin is under the pump. The media are going To Come for him and rightly so. Levers kicking was [censored]. Putrid. The Wagner’s arebte same.
  18. I thought we were still blaming Norm Smith’s curse, the Committee that sacked him and Jack Watts???
  19. For those interested, here is the document for the planning of the AAMI Park 'rectangular stadium' and redevelopment of Gosch's Paddock from 2005. It discusses advertising, among other things. It is interesting to see what was foreseeable as the future of the area. It is style, at the date of this plan, classified as public parkland. https://www.melbourne.vic.gov.au/about-council/committees-meetings/meeting-archive/MeetingAgendaItemAttachments/435/6930/PaE_57_200510040630.pdf
  20. I reckon it is top location. Provided that we build quality facilities, this could be the making of the club. It is close to South Yarra, which, like it or not, is the historic heartland of the MFC. South Yarra, Toorak, Prahran and Malvern are the Dees more prominent areas. Add to that the bayside regions. It would be ideal to have this centre adjacent to Richmond Station and in walking distance to the MCG. There are bridges that link that area to South Yarra and all the way around to the MCG. Given the traffic on Punt Road, it would also provide a great opportunity for advertising and exposure. Big signage is a key. Not a faceless hidden away nest like we currently have. We need to get the oval big enough, and that may mean taking over some of the adjacent land and getting rid of tress. As mentioned in the article, this is feasible, as the area is not zoned and set aside as 'green space'. It is part of the olympic park precinct. I really want to trust G. Pert and believe he has been working behind the scenes to get something happening. We need something to lift our spirits. I hope there is further news to follow on this, and some sold plans or blueprints.
  21. WE cannot continue to sell 2 home matches tonthe NT, especially if we are to play sides like Adelaide, West Coast and Fremantle. They get more of the home support and it makes a game at the G, in which we would be favourites, become a 50/50 every year. i am happy to retain the Alice game, as it’s a great spectacle and is getting a good push from Ch 7. The climate in Alice also better for football. I’d flick Darwin or make it that we play a pre-season match there (dunno whether that is wet season). i just hate that we don’t seem to have made any inroads with the locals up there. They don’t support our club. We don’t have enough indigenous players I guess.
  22. I love the old ‘they’re irrelevant’ line from the media. What does that even mean? What constitutes being irrelevant?
  23. I also call the bald bloke the bald umpire. The criticism isnt gender based. She is not up to the standard. Plain and simply. I don’t know how me pointing out that the identification of her as the female umpire is due to the fact that she is easily identifiable. You said that the criticism and identification was in some way sexist or gender driven discrimination and now accuse me of being condescending for pointing out that she is the competitions only female umpire. You must be part of the easily offended generation.
