AFLW: Rd 3 vs St Kilda
Iāve supported womenās footy and defended it since it started, but that was putrid. I wonāt go again until the standard improves. There was no structure, umpiring was laughable girls canāt pick the ball up below their knees, the kicking is yuck, they need to learn to shepherd....its way off

AFLW: Rd 3 vs St Kilda
The worst standard of football Iāve ever seen.

Training Ground?
i do not really care about a 'social club'. Those days are long gone. Long gone. No one would go. The MFC would be better off simply partnering with a pub, as they did with the Duke of Wellington and The Sporting Globe. In time, we may even become profitable enough to buy a pub and use it as a revenue source. It wouldn't even need to be an exclusive MFC pub, except of match days. We need a space where we have elite facilities and a merchandise store that is accessible. That is it. Whether that is Port Melbourne, Jolimont or Burnley, the sooner it happens the better.

NON MFC: 2020 Marsh Series
It makes me sick listening to how much they rate him. He made that many classic Frosty errors. Kept banging on about how handy he will be. Also kept mentioning how he was top 10 in our BNF. Did they forget that we were a bottom 2 side ??

Injury List 2020

Injury List 2020
āWe expect Angus Brayshaw to be available next week following his elbow injury and both Steven May and Max Gawn are to be considered for our second Marsh Series game against Hawthorn in two weeks.ā There you go

Injury List 2020
May, I am reliably informed, will play in Marsh game 2. This is from a source that is closer to match day activities than CEO Pert. Take it FWIW, but that is the info I received from the mouth of a MFC person. I received that info last weekend. So, unless something changed between now and then, i'll assume he will play down in Tassie.

TRAINING: Monday 17th February 2020
it's 17 of February. Season starts in a month. Cool ya jets. May will play Marsh Series Game 2. Max Gawn the same. McDonald also overcoming a minor setback. Likely to play Marsh 2. I have no idea about VDB. Would love to know if he trained.

Steven May Injury Update
that is correct. If fluid continues to build, it may develop into a Baker's Cyst, which is usually a sign of something aggravating the knee joint - patella, ligament, cyst

TRAINING: Monday 10th February 2020
thanks BB. I have heard that Melky has a re-occurring hammy complain, which will be managed throughout the year. I appreciate your optimism, but do not expect him to feature in the early rounds, which is a huge blow. Particularly given the likelihood of Hannan being MIA for the first 5 rounds also. I suppose it opens the door for others.

Steven May Injury Update
The fluid is a result of the arthroscopic surgery to remove the cyst. Itās pretty common to get after a āclean outā. Hopefully they drain the fluid or he may be on some anti inflammatory meds to relieve the fluid build up. He has to stay off it for a week though

TRAINING: Monday 10th February 2020
Can the track watchers tell me how Melksham is moving at the moment?

Training Ground?
the surface out there is absolutely diabolical. Added to that, there are cricket clubs and schools that have vested interest in the grounds there. Unlikely.

TRAINING: Monday 10th February 2020
May has fluid in the knee, I am lead to believe, as a result of the clean-up op. He will be off training for the next week. I am no Dr, so can't elaborate, but having had knee issues myself, know that this is a pretty normal part of post-surgery. Not ideal though. Admin Edit: CONFIRMED ? DEESPICABLE'S TRAINING REPORT

Farewell Jesse Hogan
To be fair mate, there was a fair bit going on before the health issues, his fatherās death and the mental health issues. He hasnāt not been in a good way for some time. I canāt elaborate, but you can draw reasonable inference from that.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
The same issues surfacing that were bubbling away at our club, that we werenāt allowed to talk about on here at the time. We made the right call getting rid of him. With that said, I really hope he can turn his life around. However, the influence he was exerting on other young players was why he was moved on. Iāll leave it at that, as I donāt want the mods here telling me I am defaming the bloke? Good luck to the kid.

Harley Bennell Injury
Ran into Harley at the Australian Open yesterday, briefly. Stopped and asked āmate howās the calf?ā And he indicated that he was right, confident and it was nothing major. I told him that Dees fans were behind him and pulling for him. āCheersā he said. And I was on my way. unlikely tht he would give some random bloke much, but you can digest that as you wish. Although I have a few connections at the MFC, I have no knowledge of Bennellās situation and had never met him before yesterday.

TRAINING: Wednesday 22nd January 2020
Thanks to everyone who has posted reports and photos this summer. Iāve been overseas for a month and it was great to have updates. Can anyone give me specifics on how Mitch Brown is fitting in? I can see him playing a role in our forward line this year, despite most seeing him as depth. Is he training well? Does it appear that he is likely to play March series football?

New Balance Re-Commits For 3 More Years
I donāt know the inner workings of it all, but itās just another area in which we seem to be behind other clubs in. It all adds up. if anyone does want NB jumpers or polos, the NB store on Smith Street Collingwood has jumpers for $35.00 a snow polos for $20. They are on the top level at the very back, tucked away in a corner. At least itās cheap
