  1. So the player/s who failed to update their app will be putting their hands into their pockets to pay the fine? I’d hope so
  2. FWIW the source who told me that Bennell was committed to us also said tht the club are optimistic about his ability to play in 2020. The misdiagnosis by Freo was a disaster and held him back. They hope to start loading him and are hopeful that he will be ready to go early in the season. As I have stated, this is all but a done deal. If Harley shows he is disciplined and can commit to the expectations of an AFL footballer, he will be a Dee after Xmas.
  3. Oh, so the MFC social confirmed my post of two days ago. Amazing
  4. I am hoping that something gets announced soon. We are in the driver’s seat, but Geelong are very good at drafting players they want and could pull the rug from under us if we sit on this too long. As I’ve stated before, I understand he has committed to us verbally and will begin training next month. I will be more comfortable when we come out and announce we want him and tht we are adding him to our our permission to train list. Time will tell, but the Geelong angle worries me. They are a sneaky bunch
  5. I’ve got a good track record and knew a lot about what was going on with Hogan and the reasons why Watts was traded. Posted it weeks before and also exposed some of what Hogan was getting up to, but the mods accused me of running the risk of defamation, even though everything I said was completely true and later proven to be. I don’t really care who believes what I post or not. I work in a job where I meet a lot of people connected to the AFL. The source is reliable and I have no reason to doubt his info. I am also reliably informed that Frost was traded due to his poor work ethic at training and constant negativity. Apparently he’d be mentally cooked at 3/4 time on game day and hated the feedback he’d get. He would inevitably have poor last quarters. Apparently a really negative bloke, who was beginning to rub off on the younger players.
  6. I’m not sure of the formality of it all, but I was told by a person connected to the club that he 100% wants to come to us. He has said to the club he’d like to be selected by us. The powers that be are weighing up a few things before committing to him. There was no problem with his medical. So what they are weighing up is most likely whether he is committed and willing to be disciplined off field. He can be added as late as February and I am informed he will be invited to train over summer, with a view to pick him up later on. That is what I have been told and the source is very reliable. He is ours if we want him, but we won’t be rushed on making the call. I am sorry if someone has posted similar info, I couldn’t be bothered reading back over the last few pages.
  7. You are spot on with you assessment. Young at 3 should be a lock. However, we seem to like to go for the left of field bolters. I think we lack good users of the ball and Young is exactly that. If there at 8, then Jackson could be an option.
  8. How are we going to sort out a small forward with what we have left? I mean, going to the draft is a complete lottery. Any small forward in the draft is probably 70kg and unlikely to be seen in 2020. If any draft observers can enlighten me on who in the top 10 is a ready-made small forward who can impact at AFL level next year, I’d be very keen to hear. Meanwhile premiership small forward Butler goes for peanuts, Taylor goes for peanuts and the KPF in Jenkins goes for a bag of crisps. After losing Garlett and now knowing Spargo is not a small forward, what did we do to fix this area? Are we pinning hopes on Beford ? Jay Lockhart? I would have liked us to bring in one more experienced forward. Either small or tall
  9. Genuine question ... who plays small forward next year? What’s the goal kicking X factor ? Beyond McDonald, who is our key target ? These are the other areas that I believe in 12 months we are going to be looking to target. The clubs around us onthe ladder and looking to get back up the ladder have recruited better than we have.
  10. I reckon we are overrating our efforts. In the last couple of drafts we seem to have a had a single minded focus during trade week. Last year we made a Prelim and on the back of two key forwards kicking bags we went all out for backmen. Thinking that May would be the missing piece. We gave up a very good forward to get him. This year we lacked outside speed so we have chased that. The fact remains tho, we have no dominant forward and I for one do not think McDonald will get back to his best. So what now? If he doesn’t, we are hedging all on Weiderman ? Petty? O mac up forward.? I would have had us 8-9/10 if we nabbed Jenkins for peanuts along with what we ended up with. I rate it 6 or 7 with a lot of speculative pics , like they all are, which may or may not impact our team next year. There should have been more turnover of our current list. We lost one player, who was in our best 10. I’ll wait and see next year. Dunno that we will be as happy game rd 23 last year
  11. Maybe we are playing Darwin preseason game. Can you post the member announcement. I received nothing
  12. we don't have until 2021 39. If that is the strategy, then Goodwin will be chopped
  13. SEN Andy Maher and Bob Murphy reporting that the Dees may have jumped into the race for Josh Bruce. Only a rumour they are hearing.
  14. That's not how modern football is played. Players 'roll up' the ground. When Frost intercepts, he takes off and no player ahead of him has time to make it to position. His kicking is sheizen anyway.
  15. I was firmly against trading Frost, until I took the time last week to watch the replays of some of our games this year. For all his dash and speed, his possessions never actually amount to anything. He does not create play, he hinders it. He takes off and has no idea what he is going to do with the ball. There were so many moments when I was watching the replays that I could remember myself saying 'farrrrk Frosty, what are you doing'. These brain fade moments lead to opposition scores far far too often. I think a lot of supporters love him, because he has a go and gives his all, BUT he isn't playing smart football most of the time and costs us dearly at crucial times. If he goes, he goes. He is replaceable.
  16. Why doesn’t he love the MFC? Is that they question? If so, most likely because we treated every player like [censored] at the the end of their career during his time.
  17. Really? I think he has very little love for the MFC. He and his family heavily invested in the Hawthorn Football Club
  18. Hawthorn will no doubt get him in exchange for pick 87. We will bend over. They get everything they want for nothing. North have no genuine interest.
  19. Jake Lever is NOT a KP defender. If we lose Frost, we can expect Oscar McDonald to be relied on again. It'd be a bad move. I can only think that we must have another defender in mind that we hope to bring in. Tomlinson is not a direct replacement for Frost. There'd have to be another tall defender in mind.
  20. His 2 or 3 great moments are always overshadowed by his brain farts At crucial stages of the game. Ultimately, he is a liability
  21. if so, the division within the club may cease.
  22. The Collingwood pressure comes from his father, who remains a keen Magpies fans and would love Tracc in black and white. My journo mate told me there is no interest from Collingwood. Simply that Collingwood aren’t interested in acquiring. That was said in Round 11. If things have changed, then maybe they have.
  23. You are spot on. He definitely had his kids in Dees jumpers in a lap of honour at the G. https://images.app.goo.gl/PZhChmz5L21PQq7M9
  24. NOT really. But Goodwin and Co are protecting their jobs, they’ll split the picks and better hope like hell we land something from another club that improves our list.
