I just don’t like our players helping out other players, given how other clubs have potted us at the tribunal over the last few years. We have had false medical reports thrown at us and so on. The umpire has no reason to lie. Walters headbutted him. So why go give contrary evidence ? You reckon the same will be afforded to us in future? No chance . Look at the May incident in the JLT. Weak underbelly, always the nice guys.

So tribunal deemed the umpire a liar. Better sack the umpire then for making false reports. No integrity left with regard to a match day report. If it’s not on close up camera, you can do what you like. Lockhart gave evidence to help him out too. That irks me. Other clubs do nothing to help us. Too nice.

Best option is to get something happening on that Yarra Princinct. There is no urgency to provide parking. It’s opposite the rail station. There is a public car park opposite AAMI, just negotiate deals with its operators. We need club admin offices with strong branding visible to traffic and a proper gymnasium and pool for recovery. The oval should be resized so it is as large as the MCG. if that doesn’t work out, I’d be looking at the Burnley site that Pert has alluded to. I am almost certain that he is referring to Kevin Bartlett Oval on the Yarra Boulevard

Has anyone worked out yet why the Dockers got a 50 from the free kick reversal to Walters. Dumb thing by Jones, but Walters completely flopped and umpire should have told him to stand up. He would have been blown over by a heavy sneeze. It was pathetic to watch and because he is a love child of the AFL at the moment, he won’t be scrutinised for how easily he flopped. Unlike Oliver who copped it last year after the Hawthorn final. Anyway, back to the point. The free was paid to us. Then reversed. The other umpire can be heard yelling “50 metres. It’s from the square”. The TV commentators couldn’t work it out. I understand that if you give a free kick away while a team is kicking in it’s fifty. But we had already been paid a free kick, then reversed. That surely extinguishes the ‘it was from the kick in’ argument. It didn’t end up costing us the game, but surely would have been a bigger talking point if it had. The umpire completely lost control of the game at that point and the 50 seemed to be a mistake. A mistake made far worse due to the fact that the new 50 rules allowed the Dockers to run 120 metres

Yep, I saw it. I was sitting on the members balcony and it was directed at fans in what would have been the old ‘red seats’ where our old player race was. I presume a fan gave him some feedback that he didn’t like. His disposals were all very poor and he is lucky that he somehow turned it on when it counted

TMAc deserves credit for winning us that match, but boy did he have some stinking moments out there today. His best and worst are so far apart and today both were on full display. Dr Jeykell and Mr Hyde sorta stuff. He kills me at times. He persisted today and to his credit, came good when it mattered.
